Wrong, all wrong. I have a RF26H I purchased in late 2015 doing the same thing. Samsung got its kicked in a class-action lawsuit for this very issue, but it's too late for us to participate. See Below. Apparently Samsung is continuing to see fridges with the same design as I made my purchase in late 2015 at Home Depot. I'm going down there today to enlist their help with my fridge. I bought an extended warranty, but exercising it is like having teeth pulled. It's not designed to be user friendly, - it's a circuitous and byzantine process designed to wear the consumer down.
Samsung Lawsuit Specifics
In case you think your Samsung refrigerator should be included in this case, here's some more information.
Who:The lawsuit is between Samsung refrigerator owners and Samsung USA. The attorneys heading the case are Darryl Myhre, Jo Anna Frager and Jeff Weske.
What:The case has to do with an alleged defect causing the refrigerator coils to freeze and in turn stops the refrigerator from cooling. They are looking for damages covering lost/spoiled food and repairs. (See below for model numbers.)
Where:This case is being held in New Jersey and covering Samsung refrigerator owners from all across the USA.
