Yes, I have the same problem with my Note 8 since the OS upgrade. I have lost many one time photos that can't be recreated but which I thought had been recorded. Very frustrating. I have to check the Gallery after each photo to be sure it's been saved. iPhone users look at me like I'm nuts and I am beginning to think they are right. Why do I spend my money with Samsung who clearly does not care to even acknowledge the problem let alone fix it. Look at all the responses on here and in other threads. It's always "try clearing the cache" , "save to internal memory not SD card" "do a factory reset" or some other silly reply. That's not offering help that's deflecting the issue and just trying to wear people down until they tie of coming back to ask for help. I wonder how many of those you've lost to other brand phones but your market share is big you probably don't care. I think I'm on my last Samsung any device. My last TV was a samsung 'smart TV', but only a couple months after purchase support was dropped for many of its 'smart' features making it dumb as a brick, and me too I guess for believing in Samsung.

I have been having the same issue for the last few months. Critical photos are missing, once in a lifetime photos not saved and no possible way to replace them. This started after a update and I had hoped that by now Samsung would have corrected this but apparently they can't or won't. Makes the phones camera useless because you can't depend on it to record the images. I've noticed that is often the first one or two photos if I've taken more than one image. I've tried using internal memory and the SD card, cleared the cache, and all the other previously mentioned 'fixes'. None of them have worked.
