I rarely record video so I could probably live with that. But I can't even take simple pictures without it freezing.

I think they are narrowing in on a fix. After the last big update, followed by the big security update my phone went about a week before it started freezing again. I know that my phone often reminds me about once a week to reboot it, so maybe that was their thought? Either way it's a 'sorta fix' but not really. I imagine most people with the problem have started doing what I do: when I know I am going to need my camera for something important, I reboot my phone first. It is not what I believe I should have to do with a $1000 phone, and it will probably drive me to replace my Note9 with a pixel phone, but until my current contract is up, I will just keep getting madder at Samsung while dealing with it.

I know it's a lot of pages to read through, but yes. Factory resets, repairs by third party shops, phones sent in to Samsung, and phones exchanged. This is a common problem that can temporarily be fixed by rebooting but it always comes back. @Hba32701 wrote: Did everyone do a factory reset or uninstall the camera app completely and reinstall it?

@Silverfireblade wrote: I have the unlocked version on Verizon and I have made 2 YouTube video on the Note 9 and I don't see where the problem with camera or video. It maybe an at&t update problem from the October update. So stop saying the problem is with the Note 9 its probably is with at&t. Who made the camera in your phone? Most people with the issue have the Sony camera. Download AIDA64 from the Google play store, it will tell you the manufacturer of your camera.

@TheDaniel wrote: I've only read a couple pages of this, but I'm assuming all the pages are identical. Try wiping off the lens with a soft clean cloth, and clearing the data from your camera app. If the lens is dirty, the camera is smart enough to detect that and let you know. Also "clean the lens" is the first thing most of us try. If you have a Note 9 and no freezing issues please run the AIDA64 app and let us know what camera you have.

Sony camera for me too. Anyone with a second phone that doesn't freeze so we can verify this? For those wondering AIDA64 is in the Google Play Store. Open it and click on the devices tab.

Had the opportunity to show off all the cool things my phone could do today, so I pull out the stylus so I could show how I can take pictures with it.... then proceeded to show off how the camera freezes instead. Needless to say, nobody was impressed.
