My issue is with Samsung, and how they restrict you from holding your package. This is not a FedEx restriction, this is a Samsung restriction.

Samsung, stop shipping packages with restrictions that prevent you from having them held at a facility for pickup. This is absolutely absurd. Not everyone can be home when they go to deliver at any random time throughout the day.

Have done that as well as factory resetting the phone. I should note I am using US Unlocked Factory Model. Reached out to Nova Support and they said it's a known Samsung problem.

There seems to be an issue with Samsung One UI 2.5 and 3.0 where it is force closing 3rd party launchers like Nova Launcher and it's causing them to be removed as the default. This needs to be fixed by Samsung development. Happening on S10 and S20 with Nova Launcher. Nova Support confirmed it's a Samsung problem. Other issues include pressing home button to go to main screen not working, when tap and close all in the recent app switcher menu it goes to the one UI launcher instead of Nova launcher. @Samsung_VgjFdKS wrote: I am having the same problem. Exactly as others have described. Phone one-week old. Called Samsung, as it's under warranty. Man said he had no records of such a problem with the S20. He told me to go to a local repair shop, and that they could diagnose the phone in "less than five minutes." I asked if i could just send it back for a new one, and he said I could send it in (at my expense) but not get it back for "one to two weeks." I went to the repair place, which just bad-mouthed Samsung up and down. There was no record that they could see of my call. They said they could diagnose my phone, but it would take up to four hours. She then basically told me that unless their diagnostic software found a fault with the hardware, all they could do is give the phone back to me with no changes. I then went to T-Mobile, where I had device protection. I bought the phone direct from Samsung, but the T-Mobile version, so it was already on my account. At T-Mobile they said they could replace the phone, as it was within 14 days of purchase, but that I would have to pay a $50 restock fee. After the 14 days, he said it could be replaced under the protection plan, but it would be replaced with a refurbished phone. He then got on-line and read how many people were having this same problem. He said to wait and see if a software patch comes out soon to fix the problem. Otherwise, he said to return before the 14 days were up and he could talk to his manager (who was not there) about waiving the restock fee. I am MOST mad at Samsung for taking no responsiblity for a BRAND-NEW flagship phone. Most likely a software bug, wouldn't waste all that time going to stores and repair shops and exchanging, new one will probably have the same issue.

I thought it was just me, glad to see I'm not the only one. Hopefully they fix this asap with a software update. Waze and Google maps or any app using the GPS have an almost impossible time getting a GPS lock until I move or start driving for sometimes several minutes. Did not have this problem with my Galaxy S10e so it appears to be an issue with the Galaxy S20s at the moment.

I concur! The March update fixes the Caller ID and Spm Protection from turning off after rebooting the phone!

@SamsungRei I tried replying to your post asking for the baseband but the website just sits and spins, something must be wrong with the website. Anyways, here is the baseband of my US Factory Unlocked Galaxy S10e: G970U1UEU1ASBA.

Thank you! I have one more request. Will someone please try booting your phone in Safe Mode and see if you are still seeing the same thing?
I made sure the caller id and spm protection was turned on in the phone app settings, then I booted into safe mode (said safe mode in the lower left corner), and after checking the setting in the phone app after a few minutes, it was turned off again. So it does it in safe mode as well.

@trailblazer15 Who is your service provider? Does it just turn off after rebooting or is it random?
My service provider is Cricket not that it matters because my phone is not through them. It turns off every time after i turn my phone off and on or reboot it. It's not random, it happens every time.

I've cleared the phone app cache and data like customer support said and it did not help. This is a bug that'll have to be fixed in a software update.

On my new Galaxy S10e the Caller ID and Spm Protection keeps turning off by itself in the phone app settings. This seems like a bug in the Samsung Phone app and needs to be fixed.

Thank you! This seems to have worked, I went into apps and cleared the cache and data as well as disabled the notifications and it is no longer bugging me about unsecure wifi.

How do you know Samsung gets approval from carriers for factory unlocked phones? This would defeat the purpose of a factory unlocked phone.

Samsung does not get approved by the carrier for it's Factory Unlocked Phones. It's nothing wrong with the phone, it's a software update that Samsung pushed out that is wanting you to pay for secure wifi. See screenshots. https://image.ibb.co/h5Ykrp/Screenshot_20180928_165107_Secure_Wi_Fi.jpg https://image.ibb.co/hzb5rp/Screenshot_20180928_165103_Settings.jpg

Carrier is Cricket not that it matters because this phone gets updates straight from Samsung. Build it's running is R16NW.G960U1UES3ARI1. This needs to go to Samsung devs.

I should also note that I have the US Unlocked Galaxy S9. Also it started popping up after the August 1st security patch that Samsung pushed out.

With the latest update it added the Secure Wifi bloatware that now warns you every time you connect to "unsecure" wifi. Allow disabling this Samsung!
