When Samsung appears on the screen, release the Power key. Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key. Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting. Release the Volume down key when you see Safe Mode on the device. I also have the same issue with my Galaxy S2 Tab Nook randomly shutting down around 40% battery and will constantly reboot consistently until I can perform a hard reset...and once that completed, I only had 10% battery remaining. I have tried several suggestions relating to my issues, but not of them have been able to fix it. I have done a hard reset, but it ended up just temporarily prolonged the amount of time before it will eventually shut down causing it to reboot continuously. I have tried to reboot it in safe mode and it seemed promising at first with no issues, but eventually it still ended up randomly shutting down begin the rebooting loop. I have cleared the catch and did a factory reset by using recovery mode and now my tablet will not finish rebooting and shuts down just after the logo for Nook during start up. It gets really hot and I am no longer able to access recovery mode at all now due to it constantly performing the reboot on a loop. I can't do a restart through recovery mode, reboot it in safe mode, or do a factory reset using recovery mode. rebooting it complete a factory restore...nothing. I also don't understand WHY I am unable to do a hard reset using the power button and fingerprint button. I have also tried to find a Samsung Experience Shop or Repair Center near me, but I there aren't any that are located near me. There is absolutely no way I will be able to even afford to have it sent in to be serviced, let alone to get it fixed...so I am at a complete and utter loss. If anything is needed from me, I am more than willing to provide any proof or pictures that are needed. I have been a Samsung customer (along with Nook products) for many, many years. I am an avid reader with no way of accessing my books. I actually cried today over it because it is the only relaxing activity I am able to enjoy due to my ailments. Please help me.
