Here's something that may (or may not) be interesting. Last week I discovered I could no longer access my credit card, bank and password manager apps. I'd receive a "no wifi/no internet" prompt. Seemed rather peculiar since my other frequently used apps connected flawlessly. I thought maybe the security features on my phone may have been changed so I tried reinstalling those apps that were inaccessible. Seems I guessed correctly since I immediately regained access to my accounts.

Thanks. I get the extended life of the battery part. My concern was whether there's cause for concern in not allowing the battery to discharge properly by holding it too long at 85 (or 100)%. I used to always keep my phone attached to a charger. My previous phone started overhearing to the point the cable started melting and the brick became red hot. I replaced that phone with the S21. Since buying it I only charge when the phone drops to 40% and I freak out when the phone reaches 85% without me immediately noticing it to detach the charging cable. I'm thinking I might be becoming overzealous with my phone charging habit.

Good to hear I'm not alone. 😊 A few weeks ago I suggested adding some sort of "low battery alarm". A member suggested I use Bixby Routines. I've been playing with it ever since. Bixby Routine when charge level drops below 38%. Bixby announces: "I thought I told you to charge the battery. You must really be a special kind of stupid". My wife hearing this is like: 😮 Thanks for the pleasant reply!

I often find myself regretting not having more to contribute, though I'm thankful I haven't really experienced any problems. Were I a "power user" my expectations would probably be higher I guess. Not being cell phone savvy has probably prevented me from seeing some performance issues I might otherwise be concerned with. I frequently remind myself these modern phones aren't marketed to 64 year olds easily impressed that mobile phones even exist. I think overall I find myself unexpectedly impressed with the time and effort seemingly committed toward giving consumers an acceptable product with these S series phones. This beta offers me a rare glimpse of the creative process involved in this effort. Having lived through times where technology of this sort was once considered science fiction I can't help but marvel watching changes appear to my cell phone no matter how minor. Every update received is like an unexpected Christmas present. So KUDOS to the Samsung development team for allowing me the opportunity of observing this work in progress. As a result I'll probably be a customer for life, though not as FREQUENT a customer as their target audience appears to be.

No...there have been various reports of apps randomly crashing. I submitted a report yesterday of TikTok continuously crashing. Not totally unexpected during beta trials as we volunteered to make note of these issues to help enable the developers to produce a stable final product. What confounds me is people volunteer (not YOU, specifically) and then complain voraciously about their phones not performing as expected instead of simply reporting whatever issues they experience. I'm continually asking myself, "what did they expect?" Even a newbie like myself understands "beta" software indicates a system still in the development stage. There's obviously something about these reactions that I don't understand.

I don't experience it anymore, but during the 1st beta I DID experience calls going to voice mail. At the time I attributed it a glitch in my call screener app which routes all calls through their network prior to forwarding to me. What was odd at the time, though it makes sense now, was calls were directed to my Verizon voice mail that I never use. I didn't dwell on it since it quickly stopped occurring.

Naw...I've never been a "battery issue" guy. I've always been a "carry a back up charger" guy. I've most recently turned into a "portable charger power bank" type guy. I think I've always been a "find a way to make the junk I bought work the way I want it to" type guy. I think that's because I realized I'd get old and die before the **bleep** I bought worked the way it was supposed to. Far easier to fix or find a work-around" than to wait for someone else to do it for me. Far less aggravating.

I thought very carefully before deciding to Beta test since I received a caution advisory prior to participating that some functions may not perform as expected while Beta testing. They requested we report any problems we have via "Beta Feedback".

I just thought of something. For several years I've used a battery alarm to alert at user set low and high charge limits. "Pause at 85%" mimics the high limit of my battery alarm. Why not add a similar preset to alert users when charges reach a low level?

Thanks. I was in the middle of a teleconference so I couldn't easily identify whether my cell phone mic was off/on without disturbing the meeting. The fact that the slash mark never disappeared baffled as well as frustrated.

That's what frustrated me. Both green and grey have slash marks. On other mute icons I'm familiar with the slash mark disappears when the mic is open. "Green" for mute seems counterintuitive as green is usually associated with "go" ie. TALK.

(S21) Just participated in a teleconference. Had a heck of a time distinguishing whether my microphone was muted or active. Any suggestions regarding how best to resolve this?

No, but I HAVE noticed we can now change color and width of the edge panel bar. I'm hesitant to say this is new but I just noticed it this morning.

I really like using split screen when meditating. One screen is used for my Muse headset app; the second screen for an audio source ie. rain, music, guided meditation, etc. Unfortunately the volume of the audio app drowns out the audio from the meditation headset. Would it be possible to implement a feature that allows users to independently adjust the volume of each app while using both at the same time?
