I meant to write on screen keyboard click on that then underneath it says manage keyboards then you disable Samsung voice input then you enable it we start phone and it should come back

Actually I just figured it out :
go to settings
go to general management
go to language input
go to keyboard you (will see 3 types of keyboards)
go to manage keyboard where it shows Samsung microphone I disabled then enabled restarted the phone and it was bac.
Hope this helps anybody who has the same issue.

Just went to my Samsung text app and noticed not only has it changed features (live messages) but the microphone is gone. Sometimes I speak my texts, it comes in handy. Please tell me how to get it back. I already reset keyboard, cleared cache and resart phone, however it is still gone.

When my phone is on Wi-Fi I get the same thing when I disconnect my Wi-Fi and use my Mobile data then the mobile network is reconnected.

Update: I did download the security patch and did not get locked out!!!!! I haven't tried the camera yet I heard there's been some glitches on that app so hopefully there won't be an issue when I take pictures thank you again for all your responses!!!!

Yesterday this happened to me and I researched and I found out what others are saying to turn off the security settings is true. After you turn off your security settings the button will be blue again press it to backup then go back into security settings to reinstall your password or passcode. Yes the backup button will be grayed out however give it 24 hours and it will be blue again. It worked for me.

Try this change your security settings from password or passcode to just swipe, you will see that the button turns blue...after you backup go back to security settings and put in your password or passcode you'll see that it's grayed out however give it a day and it'll go back to the button being blue even with security settings. Worked for me

Thank you all for your responses I really appreciated it..After I posted the original thread I called Samsung he walked me through find my mobile in case I do get locked out and it does unlock the phone however I heard some people couldn't do it he assured me Samsung fixed it so it could... Also I heard about the camera and I love taking pictures of my family... like I said even if you ignore the software updates eventually it's going to update itself hopefully everything will be OK.

Just got off the phone with Samsung guy tells me that even though I ignore eventually it is gonna download and I am going to be locked out of my phone but "not to worry", use the find my mobile and everything will be OK...yeah I mention to him that on these posts people did that and it didn't work he assured me it does now I'm more worried!!!!!!!!@

So I just saw this morning that I have the latest June 1st security update, but after reading the posts about people who after they downloaded the update they were unable to sign back into their phone I am terrified to download it.... Has anyone heard if Samsung has fixed this??? Until I hear if there is a fix I don't want to download!!!!

I have a Sprint locked phone and I haven't received the updates yet... however since the recent update, where the problems were that people were locked out of their phones and being forced to do a factory reset in order to fix it thus losing all data, Sprint has informed me this week that they are delaying the updates until this is fixed.... so if you haven't received the recent update since May (like myself) just be patient it's better for them to fix it then you having to wipe out your data.

I too have a Sprint phone but mine is locked (were usually the last ones to get the updates)... anyway I spoke with them over the weekend and due to the recent problems that came from the updates where people are locked out of their phone and they're forced to do a factory reset to fix it thus losing all data, they had decided to delay this updates until Samsung fixes it.

I have a locked Sprint phone because I lease it. I was told that the lock phone carriers are the last to get the updates and I do make sure I update over Wi-Fi however I'm just concerned because I'm hearing people from different carriers not being able to get back into their phone after the update. I read that Samsung is aware of the issue and they advised these people to go to "find my mobile" and unlock it but do we have to do that every time we close our phone and them reopen it.

So I have a Samsung 10 I bought it April 13th from Sprint. I did receive a software update on May 19th and a security update the following week.. Since then I haven't received any updates however I'm reading all these messages about people who updated their software and then they can't get into their phone whether or not they have a password (which I do)....Is this only happening with AT&T or is is also happening with Sprint T-Mobile and Verizon? I'm afraid if I do see the software update come up to download it please advise!!!!!!

Well good news is I did not clear out the data only the cache and actually resetting the app setting fixed a couple other problems on my phone so that is good. Thank everyone for all your help.

I did the app resetting and I had to re install my bluetooth and wifi information. I wiped the cache partition and I disabled the Suggested Apps, however the information is still in Device Care.
My other question is with the 4 apps sitting in my apps issue history, will that cause problems to my phone or not and will they eventually not show.

Question since I got the S10 phone in April, 4 apps have crashed and they're still in the app issue history. On my Samsung 8 they would be gone within a month but they're still there, how long do they last in history? I have cleared the cache on each one of these apps, haven't had any problems since. Also I have uninstalled and reinstalled each app and it appeared back on the history.
