Hey Astronaut, I had forgotten about this post until you replied to mine. I wanted to let you know that I finally got somewhere after I posted this. I really had to keep at Samsung support, and it actually took me finally being very firm with the support person I was talking with (I'm normally very polite and passive, but this was getting ridiculous) and then they finally referred me to a very polite and helpful person from Quebec, who told me this was a known issue and that Samsung was working on it, but here's what my issue was: It seems that the Samsung QLED tv's have issues working with the variable refresh rates of certain devices (in my case it was my Xbox One S). So in the end, all it took to fix the issue was going into my Xbox and turning off variable refresh rate (which seemed to have no impact on my visual fidelity). I was pretty aghast at the lack of communication within Samsung support... but I hope this helps you!
