Well here we go again. I purchased the above model in 2016 and since the purchase nothing but problems. Luckily, I had purchased the extended warranty from Best Buy but this morning the ice maker stopped working, AGAIN; frozen over. I called Best Buy and of course my extended warranty expired on June 27th. I paid a significant amount of money for this appliance and now I'm told to use a hair dryer to defrost it. Really? Anyway, I did find a possible solution. Hold down the Freezer and Light button at the same time for about 10 seconds until you hear a beep, you are in the main menu. Use the Light button to scroll to "rd" and this will start a defrost cycle. You will hear a chime for about 20mins while the cycle is in operation. You may need to run this defrost a few times to clear the ice block. Anyway I hope this helps. I am sadly done with Samsung appliances. I had such great luck with their TV's but it apparently this does did not translate to their refrigerator.
