I bought the S10+ Ceramic after my trusty S6 finally bit the dust after 4 years of faithful service. After a couple of weeks using the S10+, which I expected would mitigate all the S6's shortcomings, I am so ready to sell it at a slight loss and give the Huawei P30 Pro a try instead. In the entirety of the 4 years I used the S6, not once did the device ever take a screenshot by mistake. NOT ONCE! In comparison, the lovely shiny brand new $1000 S10+ seems to have an special affinity for accidental screenshots; at least 7-10 per day. Stupendously ANNOYING! It never dawned to me that the "built-in" shutter delay on older phones could be the solution. To me what is very obvious is the new placement of the Power button on the S10+ which was (for some reason) moved higher than previous generations making it adjacent to the volume rocker button, and hence prone to be pushed accidentally while turning the screen on and off. Not to mention the counter-intuitive experience when trying to reach for the Power button on such a large phone during one hand use. A HUGE blunder by Samsung, especially on their most expensive flagship phone! Makes one wonder if the design team even took the time to actually test the phone on a day to day basis before releasing it to the public! A simple solution would've been to add the ability to modify the screenshot buttons in the settings as you can with the Bixby button, or even turning the button function off altogether as an option. I never liked using the button combination to take screenshots in the first place and always used one of the other options available, such as the Palm Swipe option or through the Edge Panel in the S10's case. I'm sure this issue is prevalent amongst all S10 users and hope, pray really, that Samsung will introduce a software solution solution ASAP! The question is, do I wait until this MAY happen (it may not) or simply sell the s10+ while it still retains 90% of it's retail value and give the gorgeous Huawei P30 Pro a whirl instead! Decisions, decisions!
