We purchased a Samsung gas range model # NX58H9500 and it has worked great for many months.
About two months ago, we started experiencing major issues.
While pre-heating the oven, you can see the flame in the bottom of the oven, however the tempreture does not increase, but worse a gas smell starts emit from the range, and my gas alarm starts increasing rapidly.
Turn the gas off, turn oven off.
Try again and oven heats as normal.
Next day same issue with the gas smell and no heating.
I opened a case with samsung 2+ months ago. After 4 repair technicians later, they are offering a “partial” refund, but not offering to exchange the unit or refund to cover the cost of a replacement unit. Very disappointing.
Hopefully nobody else had to go through this issue (I have two young kids and wife) and it was very scary at first. Thank god for the gas alarm I have mounted above the range.
Gas company came out and there is absolutely no gas leak on any of the lines.. definitely something wrong with the range.
