Yeah, a lot of app data and caches probably. If you sort apps by size you can go through the biggest ones and clear cache. You could clear data, but that will reset the app completely. You could always resort to a factory reset if needed (after doing a backup. Smart Switch is helpful.)

An ordinary relatively recent USB-C cable, like the one that came with the phone, should work just fine. Only rather old or cheap no-name cables wouldn't support OTG.

Yeah, it's probably a carrier issue. Or maybe mobile data is turned off, or poor signal. Sometimes I can't send MMS when on 3G data. A VPN-based adblocker can break MMS, too.

The mod almost always responds in exactly those words to feature suggestions. It's a script. I don't know how visual voicemail works behind the scenes. I just know my regional carrier specifically supports iOS but not Android for visual voicemail. I'm certainly with you in wishing for a solution!

There is a native visual voicemail app in One UI 4 on my Galaxy S20. It's provided by Samsung, not Google. My carrier doesn't support it, but that's the carrier's fault, not Samsung's.

That's the same app. Labeled just Messages, but it's the Samsung one. Easily confused with a host of other apps with the same name! If you're in that app and don't have the Chat settings option it sounds like something is wrong. Maybe clearing the app data (which doesn't delete your messages) would be a good thing to try.

You are looking within the settings of the Samsung Messages app? I have a "Chat settings" subsection there. It is not called "Advanced messaging" anywhere in the app.

You can block a phone number that's not in your contacts. But you're right, there's not an option in Messages to block a sender who is a contact!

You can see that kind of info in Samsung Messages when corresponding with another Samsung user using the "Chat" feature (which is RCS). See chat settings in Messages app. It doesn't work with iPhone users or anyone not using RCS.

In the Home screen settings, you can separately change the size for home screen grid, apps screen grid, and folder grid. This effectively also changes icon size.

I have the same model and I've been on the beta for a couple of weeks. I registered through Samsung Members. Maybe you missed signing up before they closed the beta registration.

Sounds like a bug that makes the feature counterproductive! I suggest reporting the issue through the feedback item in this app, if you haven't already.

You could try to register your device with Google Play on their website. You'll need your GSF ID. https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-fix-device-not-certified-by-google-error/

Huh, I'm not using those protection features and my phone never gets very hot except somewhat when doing a system software update. It gets a little warm while charging - always has. I never turn off fast charging.
