I've the same problem with Whatsapp. Proximity sensor is working fine with calls and screen turns off when I put the phone on my ear to pick a call but when listening to a whatsapp voice message and put the phone on my ears the voice message is still playing on loud speaker It was working fine on my old phone S9 Plus but not working on S22 Ultra

You should be able to go to smartthings find and locate it from there even if your phone is not in bluetooth range. It may take a while to locate however as it uses nearby samsung devices to locate it

Maybe try force stopping the app. Under the watch settings in the app go to the "apps" tab, then go maps and force stop. Otherwise if that doesn't work, maybe try disabling it there and reenabling it.
