RF28R7351 fridge, less than 1 year old. Photo is 1 week after clearing all the ice.
I have to remove that ice build up from behind the bin every week or else the bin gets completely surrounded by ice and the ice maker stops working, and the bin is impossible to remove at that point.
If left for longer than a week or two, no amount of force defrost cycles will work to free the bin. Unplugging the fridge and waiting 24+ hours is the only way to get enough ice to melt to be able to remove the bin. I don't understand how Samsung can get away with selling defective products like this. Do yourself a favor a don't buy this fridge, or return it if you still can. The ice maker is garbage and the firdge doesn't run cold (runs 38-40F most places in fridge when set to coldest setting of 34F).
