Actually that's not a solution. By changing to YUV420 you're using a lower quality color space so you're not getting the full range of colors. On a PS4 this might not matter if the source game doesn't use UHD color space. But it's not desirable and you're not getting the best image quality possible. BUT, you are correct, you can downgrade from YCbCr444 (YUV444) to YCbCr420 or even RGB 8 bit and that does indeed solve the problem of black screen intermittently. I have a Samsung curved NU8500 that supports 12bit color ... well it's supposed to support 12bit color (as that is what defines "UHD") but sadly the TV actually doesn't. It's definitely not a cable issue, I use short run 2 foot AudioQuest Carbon cable ($170). I'm surprised Samsung are still having this problem in their newer TV's and don't appear to be addressing it at all. This is most definitely "false" advertising as the TV clearly doesn't support a true 12bit color space. Since this problem is obviously VERY common and Samsung don't appear to be stepping up to the plate, then sadly I think this is going to become a class action lawsuit.
