FYI: I discovered a bug where Smart Switch backup saves the Calendar data on your PC in an incorrectly named file. Then can't find it when you do a restore. Renaming the file solves the problem. Backup to C: is ok "Calendar.sscm" Backup to E: fails "Calender.sscm" https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Samsung-Apps-and-Services/Smart-Switch-won-t-Restore-Calendar-data/m-p/1062758/highlight/true#M13134

Used Smart Switch to backup my S7 to a Windows 10 laptop. Performed a Factory data reset on the phone, then used Smart Switch to restore the phone from the Windows 10 laptop. I did not use cloud backup (too much data). PROBLEM: The Calendar data was not restored to the phone. Smart switch would just skip or cancel the calendar data. If I tried to only restore the calender data, Smart Switch would fail saying "Restoring the <nameofphone> data has been cancelled." CAUSE: Smart Switch can't consistently spell Calender/Calendar. In the backup folder Smart Switch expects to find the file .../CALENDER/CALENDAR.sscm. My backup folder had .../CALENDER/CALENDER.sscm. (Note that both folders are spelled CALENDER...) FIXED: I renamed the file to CALENDAR.sscm and the restore was successful. HOWEVER: It worked ok if my backup was created on the C: drive (CALENDAR.sscm) but not on my external USB E: drive (CALENDER.sscm). Smart Switch always expected to find CALENDAR.sscm, but would create CALENDER.sscm on my E: drive.
