I have a Samsung refrigerator which for the most part I like, but it has broken down twice and the ICE MAKER IS TRASH! The refrigerator is just over 4 years old and the ice maker has been broken down more than it works. When it does work, it barely dispenses any ice before running out. Also, it's supposed to dispense cubed or crushed ice, but IF IT'S WORKING only dispenses crushed. I've had a repairman out twice (after living without an icemaker for a good portion of time because I didn't have time to deal with it), and after his repairs it breaks down again within a month. Because it's located inside the refrigerator, ice melts and gets frozen inside the unit, preventing it from functioning. I guess if I want to have a monthly service call, I could have a working ice maker, but who has time for that. Samsung needs to make good on their substandard product. Model RF24FSEDBSR. NOTE: Last time I posted on this board, instead of being given a solution I was asked to "Private Message" them, but couldn't figure out how to do that. Can someone from Samsung Customer Service contact me? I really have no intention of ever buying a Samsung appliance again (I also have a stove that I am not thrilled with - pretty outsides, substandard working parts), but would like the ones I have to work while I own them.

I've had refrigerator model RF24FSEDBSR for abut 4 years and have had nothing but problems with it. I love the design, but have had the repairman out twice, once for the refrigerator freezing everything, then for it being too hot, and it WASN'T because I had it set at the wrong temperature. Also, the ice maker NEVER works like it's designed to, barely makes any ice, and it leaks. My 20+ year old refrigerator in the garage works better than this one. I have also heard that it is common for people to have problems with these Samsung icemakers and that they don't have a solution. Probably because in my model the ice maker is in the refrigerator (not the freezer)... Probably why it gets frosted over and doesn't work. I'm convinced Samsung doesn't care - which is just rude because I supported you by buying your product!
