You must have got a faulty unit. My S3 has been under water hundreds of times. Swimming in chlorinated pools, in the beach, and showering everyday without taking it off. This is an almost 3 year old watch and I've never had an issue. I'm a brick maker and have had heavy bricks drop onto the watch, and all that happened was the rotating bezel was scratched. Buy an S3 if you can't spring for the Galaxy Watches, you won't regret it. Certainly MUCH better than the apple watches.
