It just looks like the back panel wasn't latched/snapped in completely, or it came loose during shipment. I bet if you pushed on it it would snap in, but don't bother trying it. The screen is extremely delicate. But it's just a cover, don't worry about it. In my case, one side of my TV's feet wont latch in. I had to put tape to hold it in while I moved it to the stand. I guess their build quality isn't the best.

Fantastic! Your instructions were perfect. Worked great for me - THANK YOU! I wouldn't have guessed to use "Universal Remote". It's pretty ridiculous that the TV forgets the connected device and its setup simply because you powered it off. This time, it got rebooted because of a software update. Come on, Samsung...

This is a bizarre, and unfortunately common problem - I've been reading about this in multiple threads. Resetting the remote, new remote, etc. doesn't solve the problem. And I doubt there is something broken in the TV - I would not recommend people taking it in as you'll just get it back with the same problem. This looks like some kind of software problem in either the remote or TV they need to fix.

Thanks, this worked for me. I had CEC on, so I turned it off and back on, then unplugged/replugged the ATV HDMI and now it detected it and set the icon. However, if I sleep the ATV while the input is set to the ATV, it forgets the ATV and goes back to "Unknown". It doesn't preserve it. Very annoying.

I have an AppleTV connected to an HDMI input to a Q70. It was carefully setup and named AppleTV with the AppleTV icon, and inserted into the widgets/apps row for easy access. However, if I turn off/sleep the AppleTV, the Samsung TV completely forgets the HDMI input name, icon, etc. The next time I power up the AppleTV, I have to re-setup everything all over again. Why can't the Samsung TV just remember the input setup? If I attach a new, different device I'll set it up myself. Very annoying.
