They should be concerned about the loss of future potentioal customers. I've already replaced one of the three "down" Samsung players and it wasn't a Samsung product. If I replace the other two it won't be Samsung either.

When the first unit started giving me trouble I spent quite a bit of time with no luck in fixing it. Thinking my issue was only the unit I was working on, I ordered an on-line new replacement, due to arrive Sunday (tomorrow). The ordered unit was NOT a Sumsung brand. If the inoperative units have to get replaced, they will also not be a Samsung.

OK, here's an update. Tried my wife's upstairs Samsung Blu Ray BD-J5700 that I said worked ok yesterday after the manual update. Well, today it has the SAME loop-de-loop problem as the others. I'm certain the problem is with the update itself. So now I have THREE unusable Samsung Blu Ray players! Hello Samsung! Are you there? By the way, I'm in the Long Island NY area.

I have three Samsung Blu Ray BD-J5700 in the house. Living room, bedroom and wife's upstairs den area. Two of the three units have developed this on/off loop since yesterday, living room and bedroom. Went upstairs and the one there had a pop-up screen that said an update was available. Did the update and that unit works fine. Important point upstairs unit does NOT have automatic update on. Can't tell about the two units downstairs if they have the auto update selection ON, but if they do I would suggest an auto update might be the problem. Can't tell, the ONLY way to turn off either of the infected units is to pull the power plug out. HELLO SAMSUNG! ARE YOU LISTENING?
