Out of curiosity, how do you check if it is there or not? Is it because the user interface does not display "eARC" or you believe eARC would result in different quality? And if the later, can you share what "good" look like? Thanks

Of course now I can not tell anymore - but I will really appreciate if you can record your sound menu option (and if possible sound quality) before the update to compare if anything change afterward? You can download and update the firmware using USB from the support page I think

Credit where credit is due - I think they have delivered it! I got the 1374 update on my TV ( I have the Q90R TV and Q90R soundbar) - some hiccups at 1st as it clearly affected Dolby Atmos functioning of the soundbar (switching on and off every few minutes) - but problem disappeared after I replaced my HDMI cable with the new 2.1 cable. Samsung Business confirmed that the Q90R TV is now eARC enabled and eventhough it is not labelled as "HDMI-eARC mode" as in the Q90T (2020 version) - "the Dolby Digital+" is the one that you should to enable this. I do notice some slight improvement in sound but obviously, I can't tell for sure. Happy to take their words for this though

Thanks for sharing - i have the same Q90R TV and Soundbar - it looks like after the update in the tv sound expert setting you can choose Dolby Digital + (i can't check anymore if it has always been greyed out before) - soundwise, i do feel that there has been an improvement At the beginning, there seem lots of hiccups after the update when you turn on dolby supported content. That disappeared after i replaced my HDMI cable to 2.1

So I have the Q90R soundbar, which has been working fine so far with all the Netflix Dolby Almos. I have the Samsung Q90R TV as well, which previously did not support eARC. I stupidly updated the TV to the latest firmware which is supposed to fix the eARC and now the SOUND BAR experience the issue of Dolby turning on and off every few minutes. I believe now that the issue might relate to the new firmware update to the TV Has anyone found a fix ? (I tried the one above but it did not work) - I am buying a 2.1 HDMI cable to try as well
