It's called Galaxy max hz, you can find it on XDA. You do have to get the premium version or at least do the 7 day free trial. Also requires one line in ADB to enable permissions in the app

Yes like said it has been an issue since beta 4 and a fix was promised but didn't happen. But allegedly it's been reported to samsung so hopefully a fix is coming. Saw it posted on Sammobile as well so it's out there. Currently using an app to force 120 all the time and 48 when the screen is off.

Yes it's been a nice experience, some pretty cool folks here. Something nice to look forward to each year. This was my second beta experience and for the most part I enjoyed it. Will be nice to see folks for the s22 beta period. Totally looking forward to that S22 Ultra

Saw a story today about a list of manufacturers that will be adopting material you soon and samsung is not on that list. Obviously we know that samsung has implemented the theme engine here but also know that it's not great compared to Google. I wonder if this will change at some point at all? Definitely need to update whatever algorithm chooses the colors because it's off in it's current format. Doesn't do reds at all and will throw in random color options here and there. Also needs just a bit more implementation across the OS but I've found that theme park helps with theming missing parts like the volume panel

I asked this same question, response from the mod: "This is expected behavior currently as there is a corner case of watching video and changing volume which causes higher application processor usage that is limiting us from implementing this change. Regards One UI Beta Team"

Yes beta 4 definitely introduced this issue but moderators have stated in other posts it will be fixed when the stable version gets released as there will be no more betas

When using the color picker option to match wallpaper the volume slider and volume panel doesn't change to match. I think it would be more inclusive with the theme if this was changed as well. Thanks

I know that no more betas are coming but kinda **bleep** having to wait for the official release to get bugs fixed and such. Thankfully our phones are still usable, I know that's what we signed up for but I was thinking the final beta would be a release candidate. Last year with the s20 line the final android 11 beta was great

It works with Google because Google messages uses their own RCS server that is separate from the carriers. They purchased a company a few years ago for this purpose (Jibe I believe). Samsung and Google had announced December last year that Samsung would be incorporating googles version of rcs and some users did get that feature but then it never widely rolled out. Unsure why

Has anyone seen the latest stuff coming from OPPO? Their Color OS 12 version of material you theming is fantastic. It can auto pick colors from your wallpaper or you can manually select four points from the wallpaper that the OS will pull colors from. This is definitely a much better option and seems to work better than Samsung version at this point. Not bashing Samsung as I am sure this is a first effort and google hasn't shared the Monet theme system yet. But OPPO definitely has a winner there. You can see a video about it here https://youtu.be/h8aA-_HrfmI I think OPPO has done animations a little smoother too but their theme color integration leaves much to be desired. Samsung has integrated a little better here but google still does it the best on pixel. I would love for samsung to incorporate the best of all, OPPO theme color system with Google level of integration.

So I have been reading that Beta 4 was the final beta release before the final release. Seems a bit odd considering there's still a few issues to iron out but I guess those will be fixed with the final release. So it appears that samsung has elected to not go with the larger android 12 clocks for Lockscreen and AOD. Also they seem to be satisfied with the current color theming even though it's not great in its current format. We always get generic messages that they will communicate our request to the developers but I wish there was a little more transparency. Like in the suggestions section if they could respond with things like the developers are not interested in doing that, stuff like this. Otherwise what is the point of a feedback system with an area for suggestions if they are not going to even rell us if the requested features are being considered

So the features that you're asking for would be based on RCS which is available. Unfortunately it's carrier specific at this time but RCS allows for larger images and video and read receipts and such. Message reactions would be nice as well but that would require the other party to also be using RCS. Unfortunately samsung has no control over this, RCS rollout is a carrier issue and we are stuck unless you switch to something like Google messages which has RCS. But in that situation once again the other party would also have to be using RCS. So yeah this is where things are

Yes that's exactly it, like where is that green coming from. BTW cool wallpaper So looking closer idk why the color choices never include red. Closest is always different shades of pink

See how this wallpaper is primarily blue with the red contrast paddles. There's some grey, white, and black. Yet the color picker comes up with a light blue base and either purple or brown contrast? And the middle one, purple in purple?? I think this could use some fine tuning, the stock blue choice is a closer match and it completely ignores the red.

There seems to be something off with the color picker here in One UI vs like the pixel. The color choices can be quite odd at times and with them being light pastels they don't always match. I'll post pics in the next comment. Perhaps it will improve with android 12.1 when Google releases monet for everyone to use. I'm hoping Also, the color theming in dark mode is pretty sparse. Could definitely use some better theme work here like the keyboard, stock apps backgrounds, etc

Does anyone notice that the notification background for any media playing doesn't change colors to match the album art or image? I don't think it's worked correctly since the first beta.

So like most of you t-mobile users I've been running this all day and have noticed a few things. 1. Biggest glaring issue has to do with the framerate not being consistent. Turn on visible refresh rate in developer settings and you can see it randomly dropping to 60 when scrolling in apps. Causing kind of a push pull effect that is rather jarring. 2. Like everyone said the absence of the stretch overscroll is pretty egregious as there's not apparent reason for this. (At least user facing reason). Would love to see this brought back by the final release. 3. For whatever reason samsung seems to be against adding the larger AOD and lockscreen clocks from android 12, I am unsure why as it won't violate One UI visual aesthetic and adds functionality by giving you a quick reference by shrinking the clock when there are notifications. I think this is one of the best design decisions android has seen since AOD became a thing. 4. The latest beta totally breaks KLWP. Will not load on Nova launcher or the One UI launcher. I know they'd like to say it's an app issue but KLWP worked perfectly fine prior to beta 4. 5. I know this may be subjective seeing as how it's only been less than a day but battery life appears to have decreased. I dont have any hard numbers to prove it but feel of my battery life today has felt like its taken a slight hit. 6. Material you theming still feels inconsistent. I looked at a pixel video and the OS picks up colors in a lot more places making it feel more cohesive. Like the notification background, app drawer background, keyboard keys, things like that. You basically see the colors everywhere whereas here on samsung it feels a bit sparse. Especially in samsung apps, you see it more from the Google apps than samsung. Would love to see this improved, I know you can do this with theme park but it just feels like the pixel way of doing it is better. So these are the biggest issues I've come up with so far. Hopefully the scrolling issue can be cleaned up soon along with fixing whatever broke KLWP. And please samsung can you add the Android 12 style clocks for us? At least make it an option in settings to choose that as one of the available clocks. Thank you!
