No it still drops to 1080p. It's not a problem with the TV it's Sony forcing 12bit HDR which to too much bandwidth for Q90R. Apparently Sony have identified a fix and will roll out a firmware update in March address this.

PS5 has always worked at 120hz with Q90R. There is no change with 1374. The only problem is that 120 drops to 1080p when used but 120 still works and has done since PS5 launch.

Definitely download as that is what is used when you stream a show from Netflix for example. It is strange you're only getting 45Mb but I wouldn't worry. A 4K HDR movie from Netflix only uses a maximum of 15Mb so you're not missing out on anything.

@useriphYVNPw02 wrote: I'd suggest try plugging the PS5 into your HDMI Port 4. That's the only port that supports 4K 120hz at this time with 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. If the PS5 supports a 4K output at 4:2:0, this might solve your issue. I'd also suggest making sure you have a certified HDMI 2.1 cable. This might also be causing you issues as older HDMI cables don't support 4K 120hz. I'm not sure what cable the PS5 comes with, but I'd probably recommend swapping it out anyway. Thanks, but I am in port 4 and the HDMI that comes with PS5 is 2.1, the problem is that currently PS5 outputs 4K 120 at 12bit HDR which is too much bandwidth for even port 4. They need to allow 10bit 4:2:0 chroma 4K120.

So Fortnite has just updated to support 120fps. Trouble is, whether you enable 120 or not the game boots ready for 120 which means on the Q90R it goes in to 1080p mode as PS5 can't do 4K 120 so you can choose between 60 and 120fps but are locked to 1080p and cannot play 4K60 any longer. I hope Sony or Samsung sort this issue soon.

Q80R (with one connect box) and Q90R have 24Gbps on port 4 vs 18Gbps on ports 1-3. 24Gbps is enough for 4K120 YUV 4:2:0 HDR.

Let's not assume as there is already at least one game confirmed as native 4K 120 (see Monster Boy). The fact is the Series X can do 4K120 on the Q90R so the issue looks like it's with the PS5.

While it shouldn't stop you getting 120hz it does matter which HDMI port you use. At least on the Q90R anyway, port 4 has 24Gpbs bandwidth instead of 18Gbps so you'll get a better HDR chroma image using port 4.
