Have you tried sending your phone power mode to medium? Also, I use an app called kapersky battery life that will close background apps in try to help save your battery extended usage throughout the day.

Have you tried a different keyboard? I use an app called g board & the text to speech is absolutely good. I noticed that same issue when I first got a Samsung from the after using ZTE phone for a few weeks.
