The Odyssey+ is still a very good value, esspecially if you can find one second hand in good condision. I own the HTC Vive and Index Knuckles but have used my buddies Odyssey+ (I recommended it to him) and when I got to try it out here is what I noticed. The Vive and O+ have the same FOV for all intents and purposes, minor differences can be found due to the adjustability of the devices and the lens design. In the O+ I noticed a small amount of Chromatic Abberation near the very edges of my vision, Easy to overlook and otherwise was a (relatively) sharp image. It's not gonna be mind blowing like the Index or Reverb G2 mind you, but for the price it is well worth it. Sound quality was.. alright. It wasn't anything to write home about. Passable IMO. Granted, I have high end over ear monitors I typically use so I'm used to a much wider sound stage. You likely will not notice. Tracking worked very well, even holding the controllers behind my head! This surprised me. I think they use accelerometers to make vague guesses as to the postition of the controller once they're out of the cameras sight. That was nice to see. The biggest thing that he found out over time is you need to have quite a lot of light in the room while you use it otherwise the tracking does fall apart. So, if you have a couple lamps you can turn on or something you'll do just fine with the Odyssey+! EDIT: Just a quick edit to note, this is assuming you just want something relatively cheap as an entry level jump into VR. If you already own a PC VR device, chances are the O+ will not offer you any benefits. If you do want high end, and you have the rig to run it; The HP Reverb G2 is best in market for display. Index a close second for display. Index also boasts impressive sound. (Reverb G2 has similar speaker IIRC so really they're not to dissimilar). If it's visual immursion you're after perhaps one of the many PiMax models would suit you. You'll need to source some SteamVR capable controllers and trackers, but the headsets they offer have extremely wide FOV's (somewhat at the cost of distortion near the edges but really you shouldn't need to strain your eyes that far left or right in any givin' game). Cosmos/Cosmos Elite is a waste of everyones time. PSVR is actually not that bad if you own a PS4 or PS5, but this does ovbiously have some pretty hefty limitations due to the hardware.

Perhaps this isn't exactly helpful perse, but I had a windows phone do this to me when an update failed. The bootloader was wiped and Windows saw the device as Qualcomm H-USB QDload just like yours. You'll most liekly need to take it to a repair center to have the ROM's re-flashed. I couldn't find any home remedy for my Windows phone so that was my only option at the time. Perhaps you'll have more luck seeing as Android (and samsung in particular) are much more widely used and as such tinkered with much more often. XDA forums may have some trick to get your bootloader fixed with you'r own machine but I think it's unlikely. A note before you do go looking for that however is if you DO find a potential solution for your phone there, you will need some technical knowledge, special programs, and patience.

@user3qeYisRGW3 This is just flat out false. I recommend you do some due diligence and verify what you're trying to pass out as fact. https://www.neowin.net/news/samsung-opens-one-ui-3-pre-beta-for-developers-currently-limited-to-the-galaxy-s20-line/ This site directly states that the phone model SM-G988U1 is eligable for the OneUI 3.0 Beta. The same exact model of phone I have, and stated as such in a comment in this post earlier. I also find it somewhat condecending to be told that I spent 1600 Dollars on samsung products (at bestbuy like you so graciously asked even!) and, according to you, my device "ISN'T supported". Again, if you don't know what you're talking about, please research more. As for the bootloader, I won't be messing with my bootloader seeing as this is an officially sanctioned update directly supporting my model of phone, and directly installing FROM SAMSUNG. You may have heard of them! They make the phone I use! And the software! There's also this nifty beta they're doing for a new OS, sounds kinda cool. EDIT: Here's more sources you very easily could have found substantiating the fact that my model of phone is very much supported. Figured I'd add these in case you have some news outlets you dont trust. Only fair. https://www.androidsage.com/2020/09/09/one-ui-3-0-based-android-11-beta-program-for-samsung-s20-series/ https://www.rprna.com/updates/one-ui/one-ui-3-android-11-beta-program-started-for-developers-september-15/ https://www.sammyfans.com/2020/09/21/samsung-one-ui-3-0-faq-2-what-are-the-eligible-galaxy-phones-for-one-ui-3-0-android-11-beta/ https://www.droid-life.com/2020/08/05/samsung-opens-android-11-one-ui-3-beta-for-galaxy-s20/ https://www.xda-developers.com/samsung-galaxy-s20-one-ui-3-android-11-developer-beta/ https://www.justandroid.net/2020/08/06/samsung-wants-you-to-test-android-11-and-one-ui-3-in-beta/

okay; now we're getting somewhere! this does open the enrollment page. However after going through all of it and accepting the terms laid out a message pops up stating "your phones model isn't supported". I know for a fact this is not true. I've seen reports of feedback from people using the same U1 model I have. So something somewhere is broken.

okay so this is interesting, I did see the banner in the Samsung Pay app, clicking it just takes me to the Samsung Members landing page though, no further information is givin or any special screen opened. wouldn't a carrier sucha s att or t-mobile be in charge of software updates to devices under those carriers? and as such wouldn't it be morel likely unlocked devices cared for directly by Samsung would have an easier time receiving any updates? the entire time I used att before getting away from them and going unlocked on all my phone's I got little to no software updates. with my new S20 unlocked I have already received 5 updates. maybe Samsung is just better about it in all aspects and my experience is a "lucky" one.

Hello, I am curious if I'm missing something to get the beta release of OneUI 3.0. I am a tech enthusiast and often run beta hardware and software to provide feedback and watch the technology grow. I live in the US, Have an unlocked S20 Ultra (purchased outright) and have a Samsung members account yet I do not see the OneUI 3 banner people are talking about. Anyone have a solution?
