You raise good points. I've used Evernote for years and have never paid them anything. I only use 2 devices... phone and pc; and I'm not a power user. I use it from time to time for whatever notes I have... From what I can remember, Evernote has a better tagging system. I own Microsoft OneNote, but after my limited research, I concluded "for me" Evernote was better. It's great having choices! 👍

I just answered a very similar question... If you Do NOT have Verizon, try the following: go to settings/connections/mobile networks/network mode/ >>> and change to LTE... turn off phone completely for 5 mnutes and then turn back on... See if this makes a difference. If you have Verizon, let me know... Btw, if you don't already have this app on your phone, go to Google Play Store and download/Install this app: SpeedTest by Ookla.... once installed you can push button to test your speeds with 5G on or with LTE on; this is a good tool to evaluate your data speeds to your phone... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.zwanoo.android.speedtest Be sure to click " ✓ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you. - Thanks!

I'm surprised "no one" has given you a clue on how to fix your fingerprint issue. I have the s20+ and mine works perfectly. Try this if you haven't already. 1. Settings/Display >>> scroll down to Touch Sensitivity and turn on. 2. Settings/Biometrics & Security/Fingerprints and remove any fingerprints you have recorded; then re-set up your finger print.... use the same finger multiple times in set-up with slightly different angles/coverage... this will help the sensor read your fingerprint. Your fingerprint sensor should now work as it should. Good luck!

Probably a very smart choice! I have a back-up Galaxy S8+ which is great! One of the reasons I upgraded to the S20+ was the 5g network. Well, the reality is 5G is nothing right now, and will probably remaiin equal to or less than 4g over the next 1 - 2 years. Hopefully in a year or two, Samsung corrects their missteps and produces another great phone like the S9+. Good luck!

There are many great reasons to stick with the S20... Not only were things taking away from the S20 for the S21, there seems to be many tech issues. Ideally, the tech issues will eventually get ironed-out, but the things taken away on the S21 won't be coming back...maybe that changes in the future... s22, s23, s24???

k... this next step should fix it... but are your contacts and data backed up? You'll want to do that because your phone will be wiped clean as when you first got it brand new... Hopefully you have backed up your data; if you haven't and aren't sure how to do that, let me know... Factory Data Reset: Go to Settings; then to general management; next to reset; Factory Data Reset; >>>> choose that option and then confirm your selection. Your phone will eventually restart to the condition it was in when your first got it; After the reset, you'll need to reset all your settings and preferences; this is a bit of a hassle, but your only option to get your phone working again. Good luck! Be sure to click " ✓ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you. - Thanks!

Try these 2 tips; one might fix your problem... #1 While your phone is on, Press and hold the power key and the down volume key at the same time; hold them both in until you see the Samsung S20 FE Screen; might take 60 seconds or so... once you see Samsung S20 Screen, release the buttons; your phone will finish restarting. See if that fixes things for you. #2 If not, you can try to wipe your cache partition. Easy to do... This will delete temporary unneeded internet files (there is nothing important you are deleting here) Turn off phone completely: then press and hold Up-Volume Key and power key at the same time until you once again see Samsung Name and S20 FE on Screen, and then release both keys when you see that. - You might see a "system updating messsage" on screen for 30 - 60 seconds. You will see a Recovery Menu: With lower side volume key, toggle cursor down to "Wipe Cache Partition": press side power button to select that option; Then scroll down to bottom line with lower volume key to line that that says "Yes" (you want to do this) - Press Side Power Key to select that option: "yes"... You'll notice down at bottom of screen it says "cache partition deleted" and the cursor will automatically move up towards the top on the line that says "Reboot System Now". Press the side power key to select that and your phone will reboot. See if this fixes your problem... Let us know. Otherwise, we'll try something else. Good luck! Instead of sending you somewhere else, let me give you a couple things to try. #1) Hold both buttons, (power & back button) at same time. Continue to hold until the Samung Logo appears and it says "rebooting" - then let go, and see if watch starts up properly. If that doesn't work: #2) Put on charger, and while on the charger, do the exact same thing: press both buttons until the Samsung Logo - Reboot screens shows; then release and see if this fixes problem. If still problems, let me know.... good luck! Be sure to click " ✓ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you. - Thanks!

Lots of problems reported with Samsung watches. Do a search on this forum... Many people getting burns/rashes etc... from these watches. I have a Gear S3 and thankfully have never experienced any of these issues. It's definitely a serious problem. Good luck!

While I agree 100% with your assessment of Samsung's new phones... there is a real benefit to all this nonsense... "more profits for Samsung"! ... that is "if" loyal Samsung customers continue to buy their phones...

You have a couple things to try; the simplist is: Go to settings/general management/reset/reset network settings.... choose that option & confirm selection. That should solve problem. If not, try taking your phone out of 5g mode and putting in 4g/lte mode: Settings/connecrtions/Mobile Networks/Network mode -- choose 4g or lte If the above two steps don't help, I'm afraid your last resort is "factory reset"... choose that option after going to "reset" per above. - - IMPORTANT >>>> If you do this step, backup any important contacts, data, etc.. as it will be erased. Good luck! Be sure to click " ✓ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you. - Thanks!

I actually misunderstood original poster's question. His had to do with no alert/light signal coming from front camera for notifications. The app I mentioned above takes care of that. But, the other problem of people not being able to "hide the front camera" does get corrected like you said if one uses dark mode... I like using that because I like the "look" and I love to save my battery!

Well you're right... it should not have been a surprise that Samsung would take so many things away from their customers. Who would have thought! - - Now, Samsung will find themselves in a very similar position as when they came out with the Galaxy S6 with no SD card. People didn't buy it... And to think, only a short while ago, Samsung was making fun of Apple for not including chargers with their phones... You can't even make this stuff up! 😂

You hit the nail on the head! A couple days ago I told someone they would be better off hanging onto their S10+ and NOT getting the s21. Samsung has taken so many features away from their customers, it's not funny! - - As you said, the S10+ was probably one of the last "best Samsung phones" ever!

I just replied to someone on this same question... Let me give you some advice on how to deal with this issue. Btw, there are thousands of people just as upset as you about this change... - - Hopefully Samsung will correct their misstep in a future firmware update. In the meantime, here are your options: 1. Consider using Dark Mode (I do so out of preference.). You will most often not see the dot anymore and you'll get much better battery life. That's a great combination! 2. If you don't like option #1, than go to the Google PlayStore and download an app that helps to creative hide the dot, such as one of these: Hidey Hole... choose model that matches your phone S10, S20; Note10, etc.... Nacho Notch S20 Wallpaper (for S20 phone) Hopefully one of the above ideas works for you until Samsung corrects their mistake... Samsung removed certain features to make more profit. It seems they didn't take their customers' feelings and preferences into account. Consequently many people will not be buying the S21 Series phones, and many formerly loyal Samsung customers will ultimately be leaving Samsung if they continue to ignore their customers. I can assure you that other cell phone companies are aware of Samsung's missteps and will capitalize on this opportunity to make hundreds of millions of dollars more in revenue.

You might be right. However, as I'm in dark mode all of the time I almost never see that little hole. And as having dark mode on saves a ton of battery.. it seems like a smart way to go! I only have one or two apps that don't have dark mode, and when using those I really don't focus on the little hole so it's not a big deal for me.. and it gives me a little bit more real estate at the top of my screen. Chances are I'm going to hang on to this phone for two or three years before I get ready to switch and who knows if I'll stay with Samsung at that point. If Samsung doesn't correct their nonsense by then, I'm gone!

2 tips: #1 Try unpairiing & re-pairing bluetooth connection. That might fix it. #2 If the above does't work, go to Settings/General management/Reset/Reset Network settings.... select that and confirm choice... The second item should fix problem, but you'll need to re-pair any bluetooth devices previously connected to phone... Good luck. here are a couple things you can look at and a couple things you can do... hopefully one of them works. go to settings/connections /Wi-Fi/3 dots top right corner/advanced... make sure switch to turn Wi-Fi on in familiar locations is set to off. While there, scroll down to the very bottom and look at Wi-Fi control history to see which app or apps is turning your Wi-Fi on if any. if all your switches were set properly and your Wi-Fi is still coming on when it should not be you can go to: settings /general management/reset/reset all settings... choose that selection and confirm choice. One of the above things should work for you... Be sure to click " ✓ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you. - Thanks!

I'm guessing Samsung will bring that feature back because many people are upset about that. in the meantime, if you put your phone in dark mode, which looks cool and is a great battery saver, you will almost never see the front camera hole. If you don't like that option, you can go to the Google play Store and download a Samsung 20 wallpaper which creatively hides the camera hole... Check out "S20 Wallpaper & S20 Ultra Wallpaper & S20 Plus" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flb.galaxy.s20.wallpaper.s20plus.wallpaper.cutout.s20wallpaper.holepunch.s20e.wallpaper.s20ultra.wallpaper Hopefully one of these ideas work until the original fix comes back. Samsung is continually "taking stuff away" that we customers want... it makes you wonder who's giving these guys advice! Anyway, here are two ideas/tips to try to make the camera hole on the S10 more bearable (and s20's as well). #1) If you use Dark Mode which I do, you almost never see the camera cut out hole... I have one or two apps that for some reason don't have dark mode, so in that case the hole is there (dead center at top on S20+)... nbd for me though. #2) There's an app in Google Play Store called Hidey Hole for Galaxy S10 Series (Or S20 Wallpaper for s20 series) That gives a bunch of wallpapers that creatively hide the hole... Not the perfect solution, but maybe better than what you have now. Hopefully Samsung brings back the "hide hole" feature that they took away. Be sure to click " ✓ Accept as Solution" when you find an answer that works for you. - Thanks!

I've probably been with Anroid/Samsung a few years more than you... not that that matters. I rembember when Gingerbread OS was put on my Android Phone (Droid???) and it sucked.... It made a geat phone lousy... What did I do? I rooted my phone to get around all that garbage.... You do what you have to do... Believe me, this is NOT the first time an OS update has messed a phone up, and it will not be the last time! - So, what does one do??? One looks for ways to make it better (livable) unitl a new fix comes out... And a fix WILL come out... but in the meantime you can either accept the lousy results you're getting, or do something different. I doubt anyone (Verizon/Samsung) is going to give you a refund on your phone purchase... - So, you can consider rooting your phone which probably isn't too hard to do, or you can do some of the measures I mentioned above... Or, or course, you can do nothing and stick with the results you are currently getting..... - - And believe me, I know what you're going through.... we all are experiencing the same thing! And unfortunately comments here in this forum are not looked at by Samung's design, software, or manfufacturing dept.... - - would be great if they were, but they are not.

I understand you're angry, and I would be too!!! If I use my car charger, it might take closer to 2 hours to charge. although these are probably things you do not want to do since you spent a lot of money for your phone as did all of us, these measures can save your battery... change refresh rate from 120 to 60 GHz use power save mode most all of the time... in fact, look up Bixby routines on youtube. this is one of the best kept secrets about using the s20 phones. you will understand why it's such a good tool once you watch a video or two about it I understand that you might not be too excited about limiting your phones in the fashions mentioned above, but these measures will save your battery.
