This is obviously a software and not a hardware (screen) issue since this app fixed the issue. Do not fall for screen replacment scam. I agree with those that say its a way to try and drive customers to newest phones. I owned Galaxy 1 and have been "loyal" repeat customer since then, buying many different Galaxy and Note versions. This event and Samsung response has destroyed that loyality.
