@scout2 It looks like Santa may have come early. I received a 770 MB update today and now I'm getting LTE around my house. I haven't been out and about to test the signal around my town but I'm hopeful. I hope he comes to see you too! Look for reindeer tracks.

Romanelli- mine's an unlocked model even though I have Boost service. My wife has an S8 (unlocked and Boost also) and she got the latest security patch two weeks ago.

I'm still waiting for the OCTOBER security patch and One UI 2.5. Oh well, there's no use complaining to Samsung. They won't listen anyway. At least here on the community it gives me a chance to vent!

Some of us don't have the disposable income to keep getting the latest and greatest phone when they come out. My S9+ is only 2 years old and running Android 10. My phone is also on the Samsung list to receive monthly security patches so it's not asking for much to get what we pay for.

Scout2- I'm glad I read your post because I was just getting ready to switch to T-Mobile too. I have an S9+ and I don't want to end up with the same issue we're experiencing with Boost. I just got my phone so I'm not in any position to go out and get another one. Keep us posted on your progress w/ T-Mobile.

I have an unlocked S9+ and my carrier (Boost) tells me unlocked phones get their firmware updates and security patches pushed from the manufacturer, in this case Samsung. Can anyone confirm (or deny) this for me?

Boost keeps using words like "soon and "eventually" when I pose the same question to them. I think those words add up to " who knows when"! I haven't even received the October security patch and my phone (S9+) is supposed to receive them monthly.
