I purchases a 4k player and the atmos still drops out when using eARC to pass-through. It happens 1-3 a movie. crackles and then a couple of seconds of silence and it comes back. I bypassed the TV and things work. I think there is an issue with the Q90T eARC and atmos.

Thank you. I did this and the audio issue is incredibly lessoned. But, now while playing games or movies the sound will occasionally cut out. Sometimes it will return. Other times, I have to switch sound modes on the sound bar in order to restore sound. But, the configuration you suggested has far less issues.

Setup: Xbox series X hooked into soundbar directly via 2.1 HDMI cable. Soundbar hooked to HDMI port 4 on Q90T TV via 2.1 HDMI cable. When switching from the SDR menu and launching a game in HDR, the screen blacks out during the switch. Then sound stops working. If I switch sound mode to another setting (IE adaptive to surround) the sound returns. I can then switch back to the original sound mode and it works...until it switches back to the SDR menu and the sound goes out until I do the above mode swap. I also tried plugging the Xbox into the TV and using eARC back to the soundbar. The above sound issue isn't there. However, sometimes the sound drops while using the Xbox and it will return a second later.

Q90T Firmware 1460 Q70T Firmware 1017.5 I connected the Xbox to HDMI 4 and using eARC back to the soundbar with a high-speed HDMI cable. A couple of issues and follow up questions: Periodically, while gaming, streaming, or watching movies the sound will go out for a couple of seconds. It seems random. When I switch to another HDMI for my PC and switch back, I get no sound until I change "sound mode" to "Surround". It keeps going back to "Game" when I switch signals, which I assume is due to being in Game Mode. eARC is setup to Auto and passthrough. Any thoughts? Should I use an ultra-high-speed HDMI cable for eARC? Will Samsung support DTS: X pass-through in the future?
