Hey, here are the pictures as promissed. I can not have HDR turned on in Dirt 5 and having 120FPS. I am using the HDMI cable that came with the PS5, plugged into port 4, the one with the video game controller and the only HDMI 2.1 port on that model.

Later today, I will take some photos of what happens when trying to play dirt 5 with 120fps mode. It does exactly what the 90R owners are experiencing.

To be honest, no game is going to support 120FPS at 4K with HDR. Not natively at least. Try turning off HDR in your PS5 menu, make sure the PS5 is also set to Performance mode in Save Games Apps Settings menu. Then go back to COD and try turning on the 120FPS mode.

Could be, or a Dirt 5 issue. I just responded to someone else having the same exact issue as me on the PS5 and getting 120 FPS with HDR on their TV.

Hi! YES! 90T owner here. Turn off HDR in the PS5 video settings. Try again! There is an issue with HDR and 120FPS modes with Samsung TV's. It works with some models and on others you have to turn HDR off.

Hello, This post is more to be informative, but also for buyers beware! I purchased the very expensive Samsung Q90t for $2700 bucks because I felt it would offer the best picture for a QLED as I don't want to run the risk of burn in with OLEDs. Well, I should have bought the LG CX over the Samsung, and I will explain why. Samsung advertises this TV can support HDMI 2.1 in port 4 to get all the features of HDMI 2.1, 120fps at 4K with HDR. Turns out, that is a lie and the TV does not support these features. Anybody who has a PS5 can tell you getting 120FPS modes to work in games hasn't been exactly smooth. Many are left wondering how the heck to get our TV's to take advantage of these new consoles. I purchased Dirt 5 and wanted to see what 120FPS can bring to gaming. I have the top of the line TV, let's go! WEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, turns out when you choose the option for Dirt 5 to get 120FPS, the screen darkens, becomes unplayable and you can't see what you are doing. I reached out to Samsung, they gave me update your firmware, don't let the door hit you on the way out and that was it. Thanks Samsung, I spent 3K on a TV and that is the best you can do? So to get 120FPS mode working on your PS5, you need to turn off HDR in the PS5 settings to make sure HDR is not used across games or the PS5 menu. Since the TV can't hand HDR and 120FPS, unlike as advertised, you lose out on some functionally of your PS5. I hope this helps others, but this has left the most sour taste in my mouth after buying a top of the line TV. I guess I should have went with my gut and got the LG.

Hi, Samsung Q90t owner here. I purchased Samsung's $2700 TV because it was advertised as 120hz, 4K, HDR and HDMI 2.1, although only on one port while all similar TV's that compete with Samsung gave two ports at 2.1 or all four. So for the price, very disappointed. The disappointments keep coming. I figured out how to get 120hz on the TV via a PS5. I had the same issue while trying to play Dirt 5 at 120hz. You HAVE to disable HDR in the PS5 settings. Turn it completely off. If you keep HDR turned on, you will get a darken screen with colors not displaying correctly and it is unplayable. Once turning off HDR, you can play the 120hz mode with correct colors, but lose out on HDR. Again, very disappointing since it is an HDMI 2.1 connection that should be able to support 120hz with HDR active since the game is dropping to a roughly 1080P output. Hope that helps!
