Go into your settings > apps > and go through your apps and adjust what their notifications can do. I turned off sound for most apps notifs because it was annoying. Also, putting your phone on silent during your music times or DND would stop it from pushing notifs through.

Are you certain your Spen is connected? Try unpairing it and re-pairing it and maybe clear your device cache and then your Bluetooth cache and data and reboot.

I havent experienced this, but I would suggest taking one day and booting in safe mode to see if its a third party app doing that. Clearing cache for the phone and also individual apps should help, under settings, battery, there's an optimize button. Make sure you're turning off wifi/Bluetooth connections if you aren't near your devices or network so its not constantly trying to search. Make sure you're closing all of your apps. Maybe try a soft reset, if its a software issue the above troubleshooting should help fix it.

It sounds like you just need to replace the screen. I would take it to a shop and have them check it out, you don't lose data over a screen replacement usually.

Hi! So I just spent two and a half hours with this same issue wondering why on earth my headset mic wouldn't work and did everything short of factory reset before I figured it out! So I just now got my Bluetooth mic to register but you have to select which apps to feed to it but overall super easy! Go into Settings > in the search bar type "separate app sound" and turn that bad boy on! It will ask you to choose exactly which apps to switch and which device to play it through. Its the ONLY thing that worked for me! Good luck

Hi, so I had a different, albeit related, issue with the audio after the newest updates. The only way I was able to fix it (and idk if this works for wired sets but it worked for my Bluetooth headsets) I had to go into Settings > in the search bar type "separate app sound" and you have to manually choose which apps go to which devices, its an extra step but not especially difficult. Since then, I havent had any audio issues! Hope this helps.

Just a heads up, ive had a Note9 since right after it launched and I love the phone dearly! But the newest update requires you to fiddle with some settings to make some stuff work. If you ever try to use Bluetooth mic and it isn't working you have to go a roundabout way for your phone to pick it up in apps. In settings type into the search bar "separate app sound" and choose the apps and devices you're trying to use together. It's the only way after lots of struggling to make my Bluetooth headsets work like they used to. The audio is fine but they cut mic use for Bluetooth for some reason unless you're manually changing it. Until I did that it would still try to use the mic from the phone and sounded terrible! So I just now got my Bluetooth mic to register but you have to select which apps to feed to it but overall super easy! It seems like as long as you're paired you just have to take this extra step to make it work regardless of brand. Go into Settings > in the search bar type "separate app sound" and turn that bad boy on! It will ask you to choose exactly which apps to switch and which device to play it through. Its the ONLY thing that worked for me, and I know my phone is a bit different (Note9) but its the only way I could get it to work for by mic and hopefully the newest update is similar enough it could help someone else avoid this issue!
