Sounds like you have no internet connection to the TV. Is it a smart TV? If so, you need to reconnect to the internet either through the ethernet connection or via WIFI. If it is not a smart tv. you are going to have to extract the firmware update from the samsung website, load it on a usb and try again.

Using your TV's remote, navigate to Settings, and select Support. Select Software Update , and then select Update Now.

It was either a bad motherboard (class action lawsuit) or a firmware fix. Samsung just issued an update to the firmware but my tv is boxed up in the crawl space so I can't test it. If you can, let me know if it solves your problem permanently. I had to put another tv up in the bedroom to replace my 50 inch UHD. I bought a 50 inch Crystal UHD. It is junk. Bloated with junk apps and a propensity to inform me that I hae no internet connetivity. I miss my UHD. Hated the volume control issues. BTW, I have two other UHDs (both 55 inch). They are fine. I turned off the update function just in case Samsumg is trying to kill those too. Why did I ever move from LG?

well, yeah, but no one wants to try the firmware fix. My TV is boxed up in the crawl space. I replaced it with a new Samsung Crystal UHD. Wish someone read this blog and tried the firmware update. If its doesn'e fix the problem it is a motherboard failure and we can begin the class action lawsuit.

Have you updated your firmware with the latest that Samsung offered this month? If this is not the fix, the TV will need a firmware patch for a sign language bubble on the screen as it must be a failure of the motherboards. If that is the case, put it in the closet until the class action suit gives you a new tv.

Same here. I gave up and bought a new tv. I bought another samsung. They don't make the UHD anymore so I bought the Crystal. Picture quality is inferior to the UHD. No more volume issues but the smart features are awful. Apps that you can't delete. I had it hardwired to cat5 (like my IHD) and had to move to wifi because the Crystal decided it didn't like cat5 anymore! Throwing a picture up to the tv from a laptop (Windows key and the letter P) works about 90 percent of the time. All other times, I have to reboot the TV. Same for interfacing with my iphone. I miss the UHD except that problem with the volume control. If you don't know what I am talking about, TURN OFF AUTOMATIC UPDATES NOW! I am convinced this is a Firmware issue and there is no going back once your TV updates. Also, get your TV at Costco or BJs as they have Samsungs with a 3 year warranty.

None of the suggested fixes outlined here work. I am convinced its a software glitch and told Samsung. Unfortunately, it fell on deaf ears (no pun intended). If you don't have the problem TURN OFF AUTOMATIC SOFTWARE UPDATES. I have thrown in the towel on my pristine 2018 50 inch UHD TV. Bought a Samsung Crystal UHD yesterday at BJs for $350 to replace what Samsung may take months or years, if ever, to fix the software. Good luck to everyone fixing the problem. I tried everything and nothing worked for more than a few minutes. Buying from BJs gives me a three year warranty -- much better than the regular 12 month variety you get eleswhere (like Best Buy). I am going to re-box the "old" TV and monitor Samsung's progress on software updates and will test it when one appears. If it fixes the issue I will either rebox it or donate it to charity.
