It's pretty normal for the s21 ultra and Note 20 ultra even. The overheating is due to Samsung's poor dissipation. Apparently in looking into it some of us got phones with the graphite thermal cooling pads some got copper vapor cooling chambers (somehow all done in same factories). This goes for the note 20 ultras and s21 Ultras. Both systems for cooling are lackluster at best. But it seems vapor those that lucked out and got the units manufactured with the vapor cooling chamber haven't had the overheating issues those of us who got stuck with the thermal pads do. I sent my phone to Samsung here in the US because of it overheating (130°+) and got it back in a week with a paper which was supposed to detail their repair but stated that they replaced the wpc (wireless charging coil module) due to the "phone not turning on after upgrade"¿? No detail of said upgrade (because there was none). It still overheats if I'm doing much with it. It's a hardware issue and in talking to people at UBREAKIFIX all of the note 20s and s21 series they've seen have had the same issue. Its an issue with hardware and lack of proper heat dissipation. If you look at alot of the phones that git the snapdragon 888 processors they have internal cooling systems. Samsung could learn alot from RedMagic, Black Shark, and Lenovo in designing a decent way to cool a device internally as they've all learned to utilize internal cooling fan systems. This may defeat the waterproofing but Samsung doesn't stand behind they're device certification anyway.

ESIM functionality even with the s21 ultra is lackluster at best. I've had t mobile for years. Had to swap over to esim when one of the UI 4.0 beta updates made issues with my regular sim no longer existing basically (was inside the phone as always but phone never registered the physical sim or tray even when ejected while on). Constantly went to e+, h+, & 3g when I was lucky, where I've always had 5g with my physical sim. Thankfully the issues only lasted a couple weeks and I went immediately back to my normal sim. Honestly the esim is a great thought but the functionality and tech isn't there in my experience at least here in the states.

Reboot the phone into the boot menu, clear the cache partition and restart the phone. They should've given you a network unlock code. If so, place a non t-mobile/Verizon/metro/etc... in the phone. It will prompt you to type the code, do so and insure it's 100% accurate (3 × wrong it will state its permanently locked). At that point it will initiate the network unlock protocol and should end up restarting and should be good to go. Unfortunately alot of samsung reps are clueless so I generally go through tech support for everything even if it's not necessarily their job lol. Anyway, if these things don't work, let me know. There's other options also.

Only had this happen once when the main antenna ribbon cable was loose after I replaced my back glass. Chances are it's come dislodged or the wpc (wireless charging coil module) is going bad.

Easy fix, just replace the back glass. The back battery cover on 99% of phones is super easy to remove with a bit of hot air and a razor. Replacements with cheap tool kits are sold on Amazon dirt cheap. Just be sure to watch out for ribbon cables which are actually a decent distance from the edge where you should actually be (figured this out the hard way with my s21 Ultra a few months ago). About 2yrs ago I replaced the screen glass (not the digitizer just the display glass) on my old note 10+ which isn't hard if you watch the professional's videos on YouTube and use dry ice. The hardest part of that was ensuring all of the old adhesive was off and that the new glass set perfectly with no bubbles or anything between it and the digitizer. At the same time, I replaced the battery cover on it and the battery cover on my wife's s10+. Just ensure you don't cut any ribbon cables and you get some B7000 clear electronics adhesive (the glue stickers are useless). This is my 2 pennies worth. Honestly it's not worth buffing the back or screen glass with microscratching and scuffs. Either replace the glass or try to ignore them. I can't do the second with my ocd so I replace when it gets to be too much

Because it's 2 generations old. You can buy used and even refurbished for $400-600. They have no interest in anything they can't profit from in trade value. It's just like a used car. Noone wanted a Ford Tempo for half of a new Bentley

It's absolutely stupid. I had an issue with my phone where it stopped recognizing my regular sim or even the sim slot being open so didn't have much of a choice but to go with esim at that time. Since then I replaced the bottom board in my s21 ultra and the sim works fine. I just don't get the point of advertising esim compatibility when noone does.

I've had my factory unlocked S21 ultra on T-Mobile since last summer and never had much issues with signal until I swapped over to using an esim recently and since then signal is all other place. I've always had decent (200+mbps) 5g service and now it's pulling up some stuff I've never seen like e+, h+, plus giving me 3g or lte. With the physical sim, I've never had issues. This esim is about to tick me off. I've cleared my cache partition, reset wireless settings, etc... to no avail. Anyone else have this issue?

Have you rebooted your phone to the boot menu and cleared the cache partition? With any update let alone a system UI update it's best to clear the cache partition after to clean the phone refresh the device helping it function better.

There's a ton of counterfeit Samsung products and most are currently the earbuds. If you watch some of the YouTube videos on the 1:1 "clones" they'll give a ton of information. But yes what you have are 100% fake what they refer to as 1:1 OEM "clones" and are can be found all over on tons of sites and Facebook marketplace for ~$20

Nope. They want to throw everything on the market more more than they care about it being stable. The s21 series has altogether proven that to me.

This has continually been an issue for tons or the s21 series who've went through the beta also. It's a known software issue that they're supposedly working on

Correct. Before they start the official push, they close the beta. Honestly noone missed/is missing much. Not many worthwhile changes and tons of bugs and even the official release is getting the same reviews. Unlocked s21 series are still stuck in beta. Honestly hasn't been too entertaining or interesting in honesty. The few changes that are decent are bug filled so it's basically signing on for a headache and more issues than staying on UI 3

Nope. Swapped setting, cleared cache partition. Still same ordeal. Figure it's a glitch somewhere along the line. It's not effecting anything just a comical "I'm still here" when restarting so not overly worried.

I've posted this issue before with the beta 4 (yes still stuck on beta 4 (Thanks Samsung/T-Mobile)) and thought I'd resolved the issue after updating Speech Services by Google in the playstore but it's back to it again. Each restart comes up with But yet it's apparently up to date in the playstore. No issues outside this coming up and never actually downloading or apparently finding network? But annoying to have it pop up every time I restart my phone...

Everytime I restart my phone this message pops up along with it stating "waiting for network connection". Never downloads. Phone's functionality is fine. Just another glitch I guess? Not sure what it's attempting to update or why but odd for a last beta version... Screenshot attached

You'll have to pay out of pocket for the back glass repair. Whatever hardware is the issue would be replaced under warranty. Manufacturers warranty doesn't cover damage done by the owner so that would have to be paid. Like I said though, it's all or nothing. If you were to tell them that you don't want the back glass replaced because you don't want to pay for it, they won't replace or even look at anything. Personal opinion is back glass replacement no matter the cost can't be as much as buying another of these phones

Went through a situation where my s21 ultra would overheat (120°F+ doing simple tasks even just speaking to the rep on the phone about it it got to 117°F). I was told by 2 separate UBreakIFix stores (which are the most used Samsung authorized repair shops in the US) that they can fix physical damage and basic internals but if its internals past that they generally have issues getting chips and boards so they'll refer you to send the phone to the Samsung repair shop in Texas (~7day turn around). Word of warning though, Samsung warranty fixes are all or nothing. AKA when you send it in they'll contact you saying that in order for them to fix whatever went wrong on their end you'll have to pay their fee to fix the back glass you mentioned is cracked. That being said you'll have to pay the repair cost, but skip the middle man, call Samsung customer service (whether or not you ever registered the warranty doesn't matter nor does of its in your name even) and explain to them the issues and that you'd rather speed up the process and ship it in. They'll email you a UPS next day air prepaid shipping label and even help set you up with free options through the local ups hubs to help box it up and send it in safely. They replaced my main board, wireless charging pad that's between the boards/battery and the back glass, the back glass, and camera cover piece for free. Had it back 5days after I sent it off. So... basically they'll fix it but you'll have to pay them to replace your back glass out of pocket which is still cheaper than buying a new phone.

Since starting the beta program, running the apps repair option from the boot screen no longer works at all. It literally just reboots the phone without going through the apps like it used to. Not sure if this is a known issue. Unlocked S21 Ultra on T-Mobile.

My biggest concern is the scores prior to beta release compared to what's gotten with the beta release unless the score posted prior to release of beta was somehow accomplished with full release which hasn't been developed yet 🤔 ?
