It was connected but just disconnects. I've tried switch the audio button back but doesn't stay.

My samsung A32 will not stay connected to my Ford fusion bt. Was driving listening to music a police car drove by with sirens going and the phone disconnected. Tried to get back in but the audio button on the phone slips back to off. Why? Second time this year its disconnected its self. Please advise
