The March update came today - April 20th. So about a month late from what I would expect/ want. Easy and trouble free install. It of course will be interesting to see when April's comes. Unfortunately for me, that's a wrap - as they say. Also coming today is a Pixel 6 and the A52-5G will soon be up for sale. It is a good phone and I had no problems with it. It was a great price also and OtterBox made a Defender case for it too. So all is well, except the uncertainty regarding the security updates. Agreed the Pixel 6 has had some issues, but promises of 5 years of security updates and the strong likelihood that they will be more consistent and earlier than Samsung pushed me over the edge. Sad in many ways.

Understood and I understand. Unfortunately I have a significant allergy to iPhones. Too long and boring a story to recount. So I am only really left with the Pixels

The article I mentioned earlier shows the need for Samsung to keep true to it's promises or it will have unhappy, non-returning customers "Meanwhile, Samsung’s own patch notes (via SamMobile) – which also list some of the many improvements specific to Galaxy devices – show that the March 2022 patch includes 50 security fixes, 29 of which are tagged as “high” severity and two tagged “critical.” Google’s description of one of the “critical” issues says that a flaw in the Android system could give an attacker escalated privileges on your phone without you needing to tap anything."

That's a wrap. April 1st and no March security update. Again, not sure how much risk this represents not having the update. But disappointing. The A52-5G directly competes with the Pixel 5a and the upcoming 6a. Security updates while not as long in term of years but more likely to be on time monthly.

March 25th and no March security update for my A52-5G. Again maybe not a big deal and the fixes are not critical. But maybe they are.

Nothing as yet for my unlocked phone on AT&T in California. This is later than previous updates. Not sure how much risk it represents over a Pixel getting the update earlier in the month. But always a risk with not going Google. On the upside of course Samsung have been consistent recently with getting monthly updates within the calendar month, so no hyperventilating going on.
