My range caught fire due to me bumping into the non-resistance knobs. These move so easily and many times it has happened and I have caught it before something serious happens, but not yesterday. I am always worried that the range will turn on. The oven is just as bad. I have to have liners at the bottom due to the drippings burning and when I open the oven door out pours smoke and it fills my house.
