Isn't this beta running the final Google code though? Just samsungs part isn't done but A12 is done and I thought this last update put us on same builds.

It only changed for those on Unlocked model I think. This is why not all see it. So if you purchased from samsung direct and unlocked vs a carrier one. Which to me is dumb. They should enforce the same icon for all. This is inconsistent. Yes the carrier has some control but the OEM should have more...

I feel like either Samsung isn't holding themselves to the same standards against the provider as say a company like Apple or the carriers aren't being equally fair (i suspect both maybe). Either way as one of the top hardware providers you have a LOT more leverage than you think. Carriers will want customers that want the latest phones, they are top spenders. I'd like to see all phones purchased directly treated the same. No more U vs U1 model. Maybe using these future updates as a base setting. I get certain things the carrier need (that's what the carrier profiles are for) but a base OS shouldn't need a carries blessing individually. Apple doesn't get a blessing and forces the updates directly. I hate to compare a conpetitor but can't we improve the processes better? This would allow better OS testing and optimization. A win for all... All S21 should be on same release schedules and profiles handle the icons and whatever other junk carriers need. Are plans on the work to improve all this?

HI @USBetaModerator I get that to some level but shouldn't samsung hold carriers to a higher expectation to in order to ensure your premium brand? Look at esim for example. Hardware has been in many phones but samsung refuse(s)(ed) to enable cause carriers. Meanwhile Apple is able to have on all phones for how long, even if carrier doesn't support. This drives the carrier to support it. End of the day those of us buying the phone are your customer of the product. The carrier, we're a customer of a service. Two different things. I would like to see Samsung take a higher approach and be more forceful. It's your product and we are the customer as the consumer, not the service provider. So not specific to this request but you have Apple constantly acting like a more premium product when you are just as much and many ways better but don't make the best choices for us as customer it feels like. Overall I want to see the partnership improved. I mean silly stuff like T-Mobile can't unlock a carrier locked device purchased from you directly still exist in 2021? Anyway thanks for what you all do, I just hope we can do even better! I want to see Samsung do good cause it benefits me the customer and makes me come back.

Not about a sim allowing, it's what phone prefers vs towers vs available. SA isn't preferred it seems like compared to other phones even when available. My area has plenty of spectrum in SA only yet it seems to prefer NSA most the time and have worse performance vs other 5g phones.

So I notice iPhone has a setting to prefer 4g vs 5g and even to prefer 5g sa vs nsa mode. It works well on the wife's phone. Her phone will be in 5g and blow mine away while she's on SA and mine will say NSA speed wise. Can we get similar?

Since the carriers seem to be using 5G UC designation can Samsung support showing when we're on a better one? Like the old LTE + days but for 5g??

The current one is secure, google changed how it is done. When you first boot your phone, until you unlock it your data partition is encrypted and not accessible. The old way was the OS was also but user data is no longer stored with the OS so the phone is allowed to boot now and waits to decrypt the data until code entered vs the phone not being able to boot at all. The new way is faster but same security.

I thought someone said it could work somehow. And beta isn't a true excuse cause pixel and other devices have worked. You can google and see people on beta os and no issues. So the real issue is samsung maybe missing a step to allow it to work or not working with Google better?? Fwiw the app works for everyone. Click a card to make a payment to see the error though.

Would like to see the options some other phones have to see send/receive or the Mbps being transferred. OS supports, just give us the property to enable please.
