I also have this problem; however, power cycling doesn't help. This typically occurs when I turn off PIP mode when I no longer want to have my work computer display on half the screen.  When this occurs I often times have to unplug the Display Port cable (main computer) and plug it back in.  Definitely not the experience you would expect from a monitor that costs more than $2000.  ...
