You should go into the settings and make sure that app is exempt from any power optimization if you want to receive push notifications. The app needs to be running in the background for you to get push notifications but since that consumes power battery optomization will frequently prevent it. Also check which notification options are enabled for that app and what permissions the app has been granted. It could be the app is missing necessary permissions and that you will need to grant them manually for the app to function properly.

You should do a factory reset of your phone and choose the fresh start option when setting it up instead of restoring from a Google Cloud Backup. If you do this all of your Android 10 problems will completely go away.

That's always a possibility with any edge to edge screen phone--if it lands wrong a drop of less than a foot can crack the display. Since nearly every brand uses Gorilla Glass (the low end Pixel 3A uses Dragontrail Glass because it's cheaper) it doesn't matter whether the phone is from Samsung, Huawei, Google or Apple--they all use Gorilla Glass.

I have a Bixby Routine for when I leave my apartment. I set it up a while ago but it shows If Leaving... and my address so leaving a location must be one of the available options.

You can set up Samsung's Find My Phone app so you can unlock your phone remotely if you get locked out of your phone--but it needs to be set up before you get locked out. Maybe you gave the app remote unlock permission when you set up your phone and don't remember.

I'm not sure about the 5G model specifically but I have Mint Mobile. You don't want to flash T-mobile firmware because it's for T-mobile proper rather than MVNO's that use their network. I use the carrier free firmware on my S10+.

I should also probably point out that Verizon is retiring their CDMA service as of January 1st. It will continue to work only for existing customers until they replace their phones. That leaves Sprint as the only CDMA carrier left because the technology is inferior and has already been abandoned by everyone else who previously used it.

The notification light you miss is a hardware feature Samsung removed in favor of Edge Lighting which Samsung seems to have already abandoned.

The S10+ has a different design than the S8 with a higher screen to body ratio. The displays on all screen phones with minimal to no bezels are much easier to damage. There is also no connection between the price of the S10+ and damage resistance. Because a Porsche costs more than a Corolla doesn't make the Porsche less likely to get damaged if there's an accident. You can purchase phone cases that provide extra protection or actually buy a phone that's designed for durability.

The Bluetooth codec settings are in the Developer Options menu which need to be unhidden by going into settings /about phone/software Information and then clicking build number 5 times. When you are connected to a device that uses LDAC if LDAC codec isn't being used you can manually change the codec in Developer Options. You can't make LDAC the default Bluetooth codec since it's only compatible with a limited number of devices. SBC will always be the default since it's a universal codec.

If you have an unlocked version that wasn't originally a carrier phone you might want to try updating using SmartSwitch on a computer. If your unlocked phone has carrier firmware that might be a problem.

If you update it doesn't erase the fingerprints you already have stored on your phone. If you were affected by the issue Samsung recommends that you delete and re-enroll your fingerprints. If you weren't affected you can just keep using the fingerprints that you previously enrolled before the update which is what I did. You won't lose anything by updating and will not be forced to enroll new fingerprints.

I had the same issue on another phone but what's causing it for you might be different. I have T-mobile and the phone I was using was compatible with band 12 but not Volte. On T-mobile if you have a phone like that calls that would have gone through Volte went straight to voicemail without the phone ever ringing. Depending on your carrier there might also be an automatic call forwarding option that they can switch off on their end.

I've been using Android phones for quite a while--phones with stock Android, Oxygen, MIUI, EMUI and various custom ROMs and I don't find the settings in One UI intuitive at all. Some settings don't even seem to be accessible unless you actually do a search for them.

Samsung has their own app for Android and Windows called Samsung Flow. From what I remember text messaging on your computer was one of the features.
