A general announcement for HT-J5500W/ZA owners with the boot loop issue. My blu ray player has been in the NJ repair shop since July 1st. A Samsung rep contacted someone at the shop today and relayed to me that Samsung does not have the part needed for the repair so they are manufacturing a new part. They do not have an ETA. I'm in the US. Nothing new here but sharing info with US members. I started a repair ticket with Samsung. Today (6/25/20), speaking with a Samsung employee, I was notified that my HT-J5500W Blu Ray player was not under warranty and $80.00 was the cost to have it shipped to Samsung for evaluation. She is aware of the international problem but like us, is waiting on an official update from Samsung. I closed my ticket out for now. Tick Tock

That is interesting. Now that you mention it I remember my HT-J5500 scrolling a message on boot up about checking the wireless speakers. But the speakers worked so I never felt the need to investigate.

I see that I am not alone. My HT-J5500 is also cycling off and on. Is this a special club that I wasn't aware of when I made the purchase? Editing my post: the ht-j5500 manual states that USB port can be used for updates.
