update on my icemaker... after 1 auger motor then a whole new ice maker and then a ice maker bucket twice then recently another auger motor that was said to be a "new improved that will solve the issue.....the machine is once again is rebuilding ice just like it has the last time..... fix.... is failed 5th attempt fail....

oh them are them the ol reliables .. like 1 dollar a piece at dollar general good plan! well Ahv i thought id go with the "bagged ice boogie" strategy lol.. . i found the answer to fix the ice maker tho... just figure it out at least its going to fix mine... I CALLED MY EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY AND THEY SAID IF IT FAILS ONE MORE TIME... the fridge goes in the gully and they will buy me a new one and it can be a Good ol reliable whirlpool like i had in the past ...PROBLEM SOLVED... thanks samsung!!

this is after 5 visits by 3 different technician and two auger motors assemblies where the ice photo eye is located..:)) but im learning samsung wont even look your way unless u have used THEIR service techs... which if ur out of warranty... open ur wallet .. or if u bought a extended service contract which i did ... who uses their chosen companies... ur out of luck... all 3 of the technicians did different things.. oh i got two real nice ice buckets too replaced... and it still messing up... samsung says they are reaching out but they must have stubby arms because all im hearing and seeing is many folks with a issue that no one has the answer for... hello moderator!!

well all my work has been done under a extended warranty i gave u the info contact numbers and such its in a thread above these... on visit 6 they replaced a auger motor for the 2nd time.. i have no transaction numbers only the recent ones.. im scrolling thru these threads and seems to me.... we arent getting the answers we are looking for otherwise this thread would stop... service man even said its a huge problem... we need answers... otherwise we all just made a 1900 mistake! i can see if the unit is aged but mine is less than 3 yrs old... just want a simple answer ... cant be that hard ...

samsung always asked for a tranaction number u wont hear back from them trust me.....visit 6 for me.... new auger motor Tech says samsung remodified itband its the latest fix to the ice build up... waiting on it to fail again

welcome to the of baggged ice from the convenience store ... sounds very simular to what mine has done like 10 times... everytime the tech shows up... he spends his first 30 minutes melting a titanic sinking iceburg... before even doing any diagnoses... well today they sent the augor motor that the second company and visit number 6 claims is the issue... FOLKS samsung will send u a little sweet email acting concerned.. please dont get ur hopes up.. they are a big company and lost their ability to build quality ...theres folks toting ice bag after spending 2000 + for a refridgerator.. and theres phones they make that after charging will give u a new york sized fireworks show .. but they did recall them.... so the deal is when ur ice maker shoots fireballs and injures folks... and burns ur home ... u just might get it fixed!!! good luck

no but i can tell you who the company is that serviced it... they know us well Golden in home service 586 waldron rd lavergne tn 37086 615-338-8834 its under julia yarbrough 1509 benton park place clarksville tn 37040 model number Rf28hfedbs sn number 065k43AF600868J purchased from hh greg on 9/13/14 begining on July 1st visit technician adjusted the inlet tube from the rear of the fridge and thawed it with a steamer 2 nd replaced a fan motor and thawed it 3rd replaced entire ice maker and ice bucket 4th thawed it and replaced ice bucket 11-14-16 it failed again december 25th 5th another company came ... A and E factory service 640 thompson lane Nashville tn 37204 1800-905-9505 ticket number 41965264 under julia yarbrough said it had service flash codes and needed a new auger motor to fix the ice build up issue..and will return for the 6th time .. ive dealt with big appliance companies before... i bought a fridgedair 6 years ago just to BUY American and had the same issues with the ice maker so we decided to go with samsung hoping it would be the same quality of product that our Tv is... apparently its not.. and very disapointed... we just want ice! .. thanks for replying that shows some concern over your products but by dealing with fridgidaire im 99 percent sure Samsung wont do anything about this issue and im pretty much stuck with another poorly designed useless box to put beside my other poorly designed fridgedair box in my garage... big manufactures are all the same ...honestly if anything is done by samsung it would surprise me... its best to test your products properly instead of letting a consumer spend 1900 dollars out of their pocket and be test dummies... should i just keep extending the warranty till the rest of it quits running? .. whats worse i recomended my daughter to buy the same fridge and im now worried that hers is going to fail... i honestly had better service from the cheap 800 dollar lowes fridge ... i will appreciate anything u can do... if nothing else i can give u feed back so samsung can fix this issue so no one else will have this problem Bobby

i had my icemaker serviced 6 times .. and yes its on.. or i wouldnt have called a repIarman 6 times ... its junk.. it get big ice formations in it then makes a sound like a single prop airplane is flying in ur kitchen then it stops working... 6 times its done this .. the whole ice making system has been replaced i mean everything..
