Does anyone know how to peform a lobotomy on a Samsung smart TV? I would love to disable the "smart" hub and control the Tv with my Xfinity X1 remote, which has become awesome.

In my case, I do have X1 and it started working again when I turned off both the box(not the router) and the tv. Not sure why it would only affect Netflix.

SamsungCole, I appreciate that you are working on this, but the issue goes back to at least 2014 in various threads. Someone at Samsung needs to take ownership for fixing it. Has this issue been raised to product management? Someone responsible for sales must be concerned that so many people are irate enough to consider broader posts to other sales websites. To be sure, the model I have gets good overall ratings, but anyone doing real due diligence is going to come across this. Having spent 30 years at a major computer manufacturer, I know that sometimes the only way to get engineers' attention is from the sales guys.

I have already posted my comments at BestBuy. Also, this problem goes back to at least 2014. Saw posts on websites when I googled the problem.

Really goofy. So last night, I powered down both the TV and my Xfinity X1 cable box. Powered back up and Netflix worked. Looks like it is working this morning too. We will see how long it lasts.

Exact same problem on my 40" TV. Was working fine, but just stopped. Strange. Looking back, this problem has existed for a LONG time. Tried some of the old solutions (powering down, uninstalling, logging out/in.) This is only one more problem that I have with this TV. Started with trying to hook up a BT leyboard to overcome the awful remote. Don't even try. Useless. Did I mention the awful remote and useless voice command? What a disappointment from the top provider of TVs and other electronics. They had better get their act tobether.
