Make sure the weather app notifications are turned on. The watch face tempetature actually updates during a notification so make sure its enabled. Also set the weather app to a 1 hour refresh. This has completely solved this issue for me.

Please bring back the calorie balance tracker that used to exist in the Samsung gear watches. I've used it with several previous models and its very handy if you're trying to watch how much exercise you get versus how much food you eat.
