ANYONE KNOW A TRICK FOR WHEN THE Channel Button on THE REMOTE stops responding or get SUPER SLOW and sticky?       The channel button (lowest button on right side) normally accessed the cable guide when pushed in.  But half the time it just doesn't work.   We have Time Warner Cable (now Spectrum).. and I can't figure out why accessing the channel guide works only about 60% of the time - via the inward push of the Samsung Remote channel button.       Sometimes when scrolling up and down through the channel guide with this same button (by pushing upward/downward), the scrolling is very slow/sticky... like it's trying to catch up or process the command, but something is slowing it down to a near stop.. like it will change but you have wait like 30 seconds for it to "recover".  It's not that I've given it a lot of commands that are backlogged... it's just this way from the start.   Anyone having this issue and have a solution?   Thank you!     ... I have a solution that has been working for me now for several weeks - used this solution 3 times, successfully.   When Netflix or Amazon freezes up and won't do anything, simply take the Samsung remote, point at your TV and hold down the POWER button for about 10 seconds or so. The TV will reboot and show "SMART TV" on the screen, and soon you're back in action.   This is a RIDICULOUS thing to have to go through every week or so with a $750 TV. I am 54 yrs old and never had a TV in my life that needed all this rebooting! Samsung FAIL - and their inability to address the situation satisfactorily here with so many users in need shows that they are a dying company, because companies who ignore and discount their users these days, eventually, die.  ... ANY OWNERS who are still able to return their Samsung "Dumb" TVs should DO SO IMMEDIATELY.     Your problems with your TV will not get better.. they will get worse.  I'd return mine to BestBuy except I've had it for 7 months already.   Save yourself while you still can - if you're still inside your return window, take it back ASAP and get another brand.    Samsung clearly couldn't give a you-know-what about any of us who paid $800 for a TV, as evidenced by their non-response to most of our posts and by their official stance which is "It's not our fault, you users need to go talk to Netflix and concince their engineers to fix their apps - it's on you guys, we are just the TV maker. We don't guarantee that the Netflix app will work - we just put a huge Netflix logo on the box to trick you dummies."    Take your Samsung TV back ASAP if you can. Another user said:       "My remote regularly stops working for access to the guide and I am watching broadcast tv. Pressing the channel button does not bring up the guide powering off the tv does correct the problem for awhile but then it stops working again."   I have this same problem.  It happens every few days or so.    I tried holding down the Power button on remote for about 15 seconds the other day and it seemed to correct the problem, although it also caused the TV display to show 4 screens instead of one.. it caused a video glitch.. but the glitch went away after changing the channel a couple times.    Again, THANKS SAMSUNG FOR NOT HELPING US and for NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY after selling us your expensive TVs.   Surely we will be smarter next time. Samsung Cole - what does this mean please:   "When it comes to talking to the engineers, we have already spoken with our specialists and for MOST Netflix issues, you will have to talk to them directly."   It sounds like you're telling us straight up that your engineers have refused to work on this with Netflix or on their own?   Can you please clarify?   Thank you.   Your comment "The Netflix application on the television runs different sourcing and codecs than any other Samsung device."  is very unusual. It's as though you think you're justifying that the TV needs to be unplugged over and over to unfreeze it.     Why not write that line on the box for people when they buy it?     Again... THERE IS NO JUSTITIFCATION for your product freezing over and over, period. EVERYBODY - LETS WORK TOGETHER ON THIS!!!        WE SHOULD ALL go to Costco, Target, BestBuy, etc - and POST REVIEWS saying that SAMSUNG SMART TVS FREEZE.    We need to warn everybody else that Samsung does NOT stand behind their products .       Samsung has ignored us - this thread goes back to MAY 2016 - and they are NOT HELPING their customers with a fix.   BOTTOM LINE: Samsung sells us a TV - it should WORK. Period. End of story. Full stop.     No finger pointing at Netflix from Samsung. Totally unacceptable.   I have Vizio, PAnasonic and TCL TVs that DO WORK with Netflix. EVERYONE:  This is CRAZY - Samsung should be working closely with Netflix to solve our problems... but since there are so many of us online here with the issue -  WE SHOULD ALL START GOING TO NETFLIX SUPPORT LINK AND ASKING THEM FOR A FIX. This could help - who knows.  Perhaps we can ask them for timeline updates and such to get this done.    I did this yesterday and was told the engineers know of this issue and are working on it.  (Could be bull, who knows)   SAMSUNG COLE who posts here - has said that we should all contact Netflix to help get it fixed. This is clearly CRAZY because Samung is a HUGE corporation with massive resources and should be working daily with Netflix until it's fixed. It should NOT be dumped on US.  Completely insane!   He used an analogy saying that there's nothing wrong with Samsung - it's the developers fault.  Well my reply to that is that I've NEVER HAD PROBLEMS with other TV brands like this.   All the streaming devices I've ever used DID NOT FREEZE THIS WAY.   So most other TVs work fine and don't freeze - OTHER than Samsung.. and it's not Samsungs fault?? Samsung Cole -    So we all have this same problem. Freezes with Netflix and sometimes Amazon. Sounds like you are saying it's not Samsungs problem but rather the app developers - Netflix and Amazon?   Your post hasn't helped any of us get closer to solving the problem.   However, Samsung could post a fix and allow us to download the latest software version, which in turn would make us say "Thank you Samsung for caring about your customers and not just passing the problem off on someone else!!"   We all bought YOUR TV.   You are resposnsible for talking to Netflix/Amazon or any apps which you KNOW are CRITICAL to most of us - and getting the fix in, so we can stop unplugging our TVs.   My TV is wall mounted and so the plus is not reachable - it's tucked behind the 50 lb. television up on the mount - so I can't even reach the plug without unmounting the monster TV from wall.    Lets get back to the point:   YOUR TV has a problem, which is the software you bundled with it, and advertised to us. You have a relationship with Netflix. They CARE about you. They do not listen to individuals with TV issues. That's not a workable solution when you tell us to go talk to the app developers. Smart Hub reset forces you to lose all your login credentials with all your Smart Hub apps... this is NOT A VIABLE solution. This should not be happening. I have the same problems with my NEW Samsung Smart TV - but here is the CRUMMY solution.. but it does seem to work:   Unplug the TV for 15 seconds.   It resets Netflix without losing the login credentials.. so you won't need to re enter your username and PW for all the apps, including Netflix.   If you can't reach the plug because it's behind the wall mounted TV (like mine), go flip the breaker on your electrical panel for 15 seconds.    Hope this helps you.  But still, SAMSUNG:  FIX THIS RIDICULOUS PROBLEM PLEASE!!!! ... Samsung Drew -    I am losing my mind with my new Samsung Smart TV..  the problem I have is that various Smart Hub apps like Netflix and Amazon prime simply stop responding.  The fix is a full TV reset which forces me to re-input all my logins/passwords for all my apps (a major pain) and I have to do this hard reset about once per month. So annoying.   also:   The CH (Channel) button on my Samsung remote normally displays my cable Guide.. but some days it simply won't do it. Then a day or two or three later, it works fine.    also:   Sometimes my Samsung remote simply won't work for things like back << and forward >> and Exit, etc.  The power button always works but other buttons sometimes don't. Then..a day or two later, they work again.    I've never had a TV with so many instability problems. What's going on and how can it be fixed?
