"Portrait mode only" only affects rotation of the home screen itself, and only if Auto Rotate is on.    If you pull down the notifications, the pull down the quick icons, you should have an icon for Auto Rotate. Blue is on. IfI it's gray, press it and you should be all set. ... View more
