Good info, there are thousands of consumers that bought these POS refrigerators. Samsung so far has refused to do anything to address the issue. Could you share your communication with your attorney general so everyone could do the same in whatever state we live in? Yes, I still am having to defrost every week using a hair dryer. The latest thing with this boat anchor is the left door is messed up. The thing on the right side of the left door flips out, have to close left door before we can close the right side. Such a disappointment, can't even sell the thing in good faith, nobody would want it.

In what state have you contacted the AG? I have had these issues for several years now, ever since the warranty expired, still defrosting every other week. Latest thing is the ice bucket had developed a crack along the bottom, about 6 inches long. We really hate this pioece of crap, samsung will not acknowledge or replace unless court makes them. I joined the class action suit a long time ago, have not heard that anything is happening with it.

Really, be prepared to spend money to repair a refrigerator / ice maker that should work without any repair work by the owner? I have had issues with this piece of crap refrigerator since it went out of warranty. I have replaced the dang ice maker twice and it still is piece of crap that I have to defrost at least twice a month. I don;t think the owner shouild be prepared to spend money on the piece of crar. SAMSUNG should be repairing on their nickel, except there is no repair that will last. SAMSUNG jiust makes a piece CRAP unit and stciks the public with it. I will never purchase any SAMSUNG junk evr again! Sorry, just venting, tired of spending money on this refrigerator and the repair never works.

I just finished defrosting mine using hair dryer. This is a bi-weekly thing, ice builds up around ice pan and i have to jeck it out and then use hair dryer to melt the ice. The leaking and general nastyness this creates is not pretty. I really hate this fridge and SAMSUNG. At this point, I'd say it's pretty obvious that Samsung is not going to spet up and fix these CRAP refrigerators or they would havce done so by now. Our only recourse is a class action suit, which I would be most happy to join.

I have same issue, purchased Model RF28HFEDBSR in 2015, almost as soon as the warranty ran out the ice maker quit working. I replaced the ice maker at my expense. It still freezes up like in the picture, I have to scrape the ice out about every other week or the ice maker quits working. This is a horrible refrigerator, I will NEVER buy another Samsung product, I seriously think about taking it out in my pasture and setting it on fire, just to get the satisfaction of watching it burn! But paying over 2 grand for a refrigerator is tough.
