Just started having the same problem. Vibrating sporadically for no reason. Certain sections of the screen are no longer responsive to swipes or taps. Scrolling through widget screens by itself. Physical buttons take forever to respond to presses. This is a mess, and it's odd we're both seeing the problem around the same time. Going to PM Samsung as directed above.

Your mobile network settings might be messed up, depending on your carrier. I recently had this issue, and a reset of my network settings did the trick to fix it.

You can search for instructions to downgrade your phone's Android OS, and should get several results leading you to the right software and firmware. It's not for the faint of heart, and the process is too long to detail here. BUT, the really bad thing is that your carrier may force updates on you anyway. I know because I downgraded my Note's OS when Samsung removed Pro Video on the camera in an update. A few days later, BOOM, "Software update is ready to install," with no way to stop it. Downgraded again, and the same thing happened. After the third time, I gave up. It was a losing battle, and you have to completely wipe your data every time you downgrade.

Wow; nice catch! You can see the folder, but nothing inside it. The app linked above works great though, so it seems like "My Files" will be the latest Samsung app to no longer have any use for me. Unfortunately, avoiding Android 11 isn't a viable option, since many carriers will force it on you eventually.

Tell you what: let's see if we can make this a more productive thread. Can you please post some pictures taken with your phone, and tell us what you think is wrong with them? Let's start with the camera "issues."

LOL. Angst? Lack of reading/comprehension skills? Sorry, bud, but one thing is certain to everyone: You're not happy with the phone. You called it trash. All the "thoughts" in the world aren't going to change that fact. So I offered about the only option to someone that unhappy with a product. Let me guess: you kept the "trash nobody should waste their money on?" Are you any happier? It doesn't seem like it.

Yours is a very rare case indeed. Like I said, short of getting rid of the phone on Swapa or ebay, your best bet for now is to make sure you back your data up. If the problem is caused by software, it'll be fixed by software. Android 11 is rolling out to the Note 20 as I type this, so you shouldn't have long to wait. In the past, I've included notes for the tech to call me with any questions, when I've sent things in for repair, as well as links to videos showing the malfunction happening in real time. That helps them out a lot, if they can't replicate the issue at their center.

That's what I thought: your phones have a memory problem. I would suspect you swapped a memory card from the old Note 9, which was giving you trouble, to the N20U. But, since you say it happens with internal memory as well, there's obviously more to the story. One possibility is just plain bad luck, and you got two phones in a row, both of which did the exact same thing, whether through faulty software or hardware. That's a real long shot, but "never say never." Another possibility is that the phones have been unwittingly subjected to environmental conditions which damaged them. A third possibility is that the phones haven't actually been damaged, but environmental conditions are damaging the files stored in them. The fact that you're experiencing the problem on two different phones, on both internal and external memory, leads me to one of the latter two explanations. I would have to know more about software versions to even consider the first, and if it is a software problem, Android 11 should fix your issue soon (I recommend you factory reset the phone when you upgrade it). I seriously doubt it's a hardware problem, because it happens on both internal and external memory. In the meantime, the best way to avoid losing your files is to back them up manually as soon as you take them. I use One Drive, but Google Photos or any other will work as well. The other option is to try to send it back to Samsung Repair, but tell them to keep the phone as long as needed to replicate the problem. I would have returned the phone within 30 days, but you seem to be having the horribly bad luck that your phone worked fine for the first 30 days.

So you're talking about the ones with the exclamation mark? When you click on that, and then one of the pictures' (it says you have 4) "details," what information do you see?

Can you post some samples of the video and photo corruption here and on YouTube? It might help to see the actual symptoms you're experiencing.

As others have said, you can reinstall an older OS. The big caveats are: 1. Make sure you have the correct firmware version for your model/carrier. 2. The process will factory reset your device. 3. Depending on your carrier, updates may be forced on you anyway. So, after going through all the trouble, the phone will force you to get the update again within two weeks. Ask me how I know. ;)

You bought a phone known to not have a headphone jack, and now you want to complain about it? Here's a thought: return it. You shouldn't live your life that angry over a phone.
