That is the problem when it comes with hardware that needs software to run, because software is human built and hardware don't know a glitch when someone makes a mistake trying to make somthing else better and in time this will be fixed. Trust me techs are paying attention to us the consumers and heck they use the products too, so just try to find a solution to get around this until there is another firmware fix. Best regards a samsung customer.

This tv is sapose to update itself but you periodically have to get on the tv website and under firmware check the version with the version on the about section of the tv under firmware. To update the tv using a usb thumb drive download the firmware and extract it onto the thumb drive with nothing else on the drive, then plug it into the usb on the back of the tv, i use the one called 5+ HDD port. Then go to update tv in the settings and update by usb when asked too then let it search the usb drive and it will aout confirm with you to update the tv so click yes with the remote and let it do it's thing and the tv will restart on it's own when finished with the upgrade. Btw... fat32 i think is the recammended format option of the usb drive, ntfs may work but i can't confirm this myself because i have not tryed. I do know you will want a 4gb atleast thumb drive to be sure you have enough space for the upgrade.
