I also had the same problem. s6 edge will not charge with original charger and cable. Android 7.0; last security patch aug 1 2017. I worked with a verizon tech guy over the phone, and reset everything. That did nothing. I was told that the phone I purchased was out of warranty, over 1 year, and verizon does not fix phones, and if your's is broken, regardless off whose fault it is, if you do not have insurance, you can buy a new phone. I was also asked if I had purchased the verizon warranty extension. I had never heard of it, and was not offered it. Nobody is offered it. It is only offered when discussing the insurance option. That doesn't sound like a very good way to protect the consumer. The warranty extension is only $3 per month, and there is no deductable like the insurance has. Too bad its never offered to buyers. My phone can charge wirelessly, and also can charge off of portable chargers, and other devices that have usb ports. Not exactly what I had in mind when buying it. With all of these posts, there is obviously a DESIGN FLAW, and the consumer should not have to eat the $$$.
