45 days later and the compressor is frozen up yet again as is the ice maker. Hey Samsung moderator... how about you refund my purchase price and I'll buy something which actually works? At this point the warranty has paid for this pos at least 1 additional time.

I bought a 5 year extended warranty from Home Depot when I bought the fridge in '15. so I'm basically good until 2020 then I'm toast. My last repair guy said to look at Viking or SubZero... but the SZ apparently is prone to lemon issues as well... and those bills are HUGE. They were smart... no ice maker up high.. and it just produces ice.. It's a shame the quality stinks. I hope the class action goes through as well.

btw.. I should mention mine is actually a 36" counter depth version not a 28.... as in this thread. However, all the same symptoms. It's across all Samsung unfortunately. make sure they replace all the parts -- see the previous post. but here's the numbers for the 28 Ice Maker; DA97-13718C Auger: DA97-12540G Ice Bucket: No model # on bucket. (the vanes on the auger that move the ice to the door are more robust) Y clips: DA82-02367A Silicone the Ice Maker again. Mine was done Tuesday and I looked today and see no additonal condensation on the ice maker ... yet.

I also just had my auger, bucket i think Y clips ...and near sensor panel replaced today with the new part numbers as well. Also siliconed the ice maker area. This is the 3rd repair due to condensation ...and loud fan noise from ice build up hitting the cooling fans and the 2nd time for the ice maker though in defense... they didn't replace parts for the ice issue the last time. Thankfully im covered under an extended warranty on my 2015 countertop samsung purchase. Additionally ... my forced defrost mode is different than I've seen posted. Upper left and middle right buttons at one time.. then upper right to FD. I really hope this fixes the issue. Will keep posted.
